Because Mary KNEW her son and had total faith in Him, she had power to say, "Whatsoever He saith unto you, DO IT."  Do we know and trust the Savior enough to do anything that is asked of us?

What does it mean to you that the Savior wants to make you clean? And where do you go when you want to reconnect with your Heavenly Father?

As we learn about Christ beginning to call His disciples, what can we learn from their willingness to immediately leave behind all that they knew in order to follow Him. 

Christ was anointed to heal, bless and strengthen the weak, the broken, the bruised, the poor in spirit. He can do all that for us, and more. But we have to be willing to let Him in.  

Christ left His experience and time of temptation with power of the Spirit. What did He do to obtain that kind of power? And what can we do to receive it as well?

Today we learn about the specific temptations of Christ and what we learn about overcoming the adversary from the Savior's example. 

Here we get the chance to see one of the most common attacks of the adversary. He comes to the Savior and says, "IF thou be the Son of God..." IF??? He is trying to attack the Savior's identity, and he does the same thing to us. Because he knows that if he can get us to forget who we really are, he can get us to forget our purpose here on this Earth. But all we need in order to overcome his attack...

As we begin this week's study, we get the opportunity to see the Savior of the world come face to face with temptation, but we also get the chance to se how He overcomes it. Learning how Christ overcame temptation can give us strength and power to overcome as well. 

Today we talk about Christ's complete obedience and why that matters, as well as what we can learn from Luke's detail that Christ was the last to be baptized. 

Today we see Christ's humility and submissiveness as He shows us by example to follow ALL of God's commands.

Today we use the analogy that John teaches about wheat and chaff to help us learn about separating what matters most from the fluff that sometimes fills our lives. 

Luke gives us a chance to step back and ask ourselves how and if our actions match our faith. 

My friends, I apologize! I had some technical trouble today and the sound quality is bad. I will have it fixed for tomorrow, but hopefully you can hear well enough to learn about how how Christ can lift us from the toxic situations we find ourselves in. 

What do the similarities in today's verses teach us about the gospel writers desires for us to know and understand?

We FINALLY get to jump into the book of Mark! So today we will talk a bit about who Mark (John Mark) was and the significance of his gospel, as well as the authority of John.

In those moments of loneliness, when you feel unseen, unknown or unappreciated, take heart in knowing that the Savior knows you, He sees you and He absolutely LOVES you!

Christ asked his disciples, "What seekest thou," essentially He was asking, "what do you want?" The beauty of the gospel of Jesus Christ is we know what we want, we know where we ultimately want to be, we know that we want to dwell where He is. And as we've seen multiple times so far this year, the answer to do that is to SEEK Him! 

Here John shows us an attribute of Christian discipleship. He shows us that disciples point people and lead people back to Christ. 

Both John the Beloved and John the Baptist make a point to teach us that there will be many who will not be able to see Christ for who He is. Even among believers. If we are not careful and intentional about our worship we may fall into the trap of not seeing or understanding or even believing all that Christ can do for us. 

If one of the titles for Christ is the light, what can we do to ensure that light is always with us?

How does understanding the Savior's role as the creator strengthen your relationship with Him?

An understanding of who Christ was before this Earth life, gives us faith to follow Him during this Earth life. 

Heavenly Father orchestrated a new star in the heavens to guide the wise men to the Savior. What stars has He given you to lead you to Christ?

Jacob exhorts us to "Be Wise." As we seek to be wise in God's way we must start first like the wisemen of old, and seek Christ. 

True to his testimony, Luke uses the testimony of Simeon to remind us that Christ is the Savior of ALL mankind and that He is waiting for us in our brokenness.
