Coach & Friends

The Barber, David Nolen, was along for the ride on  Coach & Friends.  They chatted about movie openings, the Army/Navy rivalry, the end of daylight saving time, and even pondered who invented time. They also discussed high school non-region game scheduling.

Get Up With Giddens! Coach Steve Giddens joined Coach & Friends , bringing his signature energy. The guys dove into how discipline from parents varied across their households. They also explored the mysteries of the moon, from its strange behavior to the age-old question: "Do you see the man in the moon?"

Taylor Time! Rusty Taylor got things started on  Coach & Friends.  He talked all about his new wheels and asked the big question, "What happened to small pickup trucks?" Also, don't miss key headlines from The Clay Times-Journal .

Shortt Tuesday! Coach Michael Shortt was in the house, sharing all the details from his 8-hour journey to the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. He talked about his visit to Cade’s Cove and the wildlife he encountered along the way. Coach Chad Young joined in on the hotline, chatting about his travel stories with Shortt and adding plenty of laughs.

Coach Kris Herron and Coach Jerry Weems kicked the week off on Coach & Friends.  They explored the history of time zones, shared all kinds of scores from the weekend, and reminisced about favorite Halloween memories. The duo also checked in briefly with The Bone, Heath Stroud, for a quick chat. They also celebrated holidays. 

The Barber, David Nolen, tagged along to help get everybody ready for the weekend. Dave’s new phone sparked a discussion about the ups and downs of modern technology, while Coach Herron shared a story about his recent library troubles. The crew also swapped stories about homemade banana pudding and pound cake, and, as always, celebrated the holidays with plenty of cheer.

Get Up With Giddens! Coach Steve Giddens kicked off Coach & Friends  with a discussion about the legend of Mrs. O'Leary, her cow, and how they allegedly sparked the Great Chicago Fire. Things took a turn toward real-life frustrations as Coach Giddens shared his latest battle with his lawn mower belt. 

Taylor Time! Rusty Taylor joined Coach Kris Herron on Coach & Friends to chat about the possibility of frost on the way and the kickoff of bow and crossbow deer season. They also celebrated holidays and dove into the latest headlines from The Clay Times Journal .

Tab, an original Girl Friday, made a Tuesday morning appearance on Coach & Friends . The guys asked the question, "Do you put salt on a chocolate chip cookie?" They also discussed fall festival vs. Halloween carnival and trips to the spook house.

Coach Kris Herron & Coach Jerry Weems started off a brand new week on Coach & Friends.  They discussed the ride to the studio as well as celebrated holidays.

Taylor Time! Rusty Taylor and Heath Bone joined Coach Kris Herron on  Coach & Friends.  Ashland Fire Chief Jimmy Lee provided an update on the relief effort. Tab was in the studio reviewing Public Safety Night. Brother Richie Farrow provided information on another opportunity to help in Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

Shortt Tuesday! Coach Michael Shortt climbed on board to ride with Coach & Friends  through the morning. Ashland Fire Chief Jimmy Lee gave an update on relief efforts for Hurricane Helene coming out of Clay County. Shortt discussed how he broke his tooth on the way in to the studio. He also learned about the movie,  Sergeant York, as the guys celebrated Alvin C. York Day.

Coach Kris Herron and The Barber, David Nolen, started the week off strong on Coach & Friends . They were joined in the 7 o'clock hour by Dr. Chip East from the Alabama Extension Service. Dr. Chip brought pecans and talked about pecan care as well as winter preparation for gardens.     

Live from Talladega Superspeedway! The gang was all there: Coach Kris Herron, Coach Jerry Weems, Rusty Taylor, and Heath Bone. The guests on the show included Patrick Barfield, the senior director of venue experience and guest services; Chase Hammock, a member of The White Flag Club; Brian Crichton, the president of Talladega SuperSpeedway.

Coach Russell Hathcock was in studio with his trumpet and WaWa plunger. Coach Giddens provided a gymnastics update. Mrs. Jordan came in with popcorn and a cake.

Coach Kris Herron and Coach Jerry Weems kicked off a brand new week with Heath Bone along for part of the ride. They talked with Kimm Wright about Pinhoti Fest 2024 coming up this weekend in Sylacauga. Coach & Friends also did some celebrating and learned how Coach Weems spent his weekend.
