I talk about expectations for the Draft Lottery, and in particular the difference between expecting third when you can hope for first. To end off, I give away a pair of tickets to the Draft Lottery Watch Party at Rogers Arena.

Bad news for the Vancouver Canucks as defenceman Filip Hronek got injured playing for Czechia in an overseas tune-up tournament for the IIHF World Championships. Meanwhile, Hronek's long-time blue partner Quinn Hughes advanced with his Minnesota Wild teammates after beating the Dallas Stars.

As the Vancouver Canucks look to embrace a full rebuild, I'm genuinely curious as to whether or not Canucks fans are going to be patient enough to ride the roller coaster that is going to come with it.

Marco Rossi led the Canucks to a 4-3 shootout victory over the Nashville Predators. Rossi had a goal and two assists as his line with Brock Boeser and Liam Ohgren had a very strong game. Tom Willander set a career high in minutes played, and Nikita Tolopilo stopped all three shots he faced in the shootout.
