We are reminded that Jesus our Lord is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and we must hold fast to that confession.  -The crowds confession -The disciples confession -The acknowledged confession. 

 Improper worship brings destruction to the community. Sins consequences are devastating.  -The Set Up -The Conflict -The Resolution

 Israel rejected Yahweh as their king and in so doing start to worship God on their terms. This is a sobering reminder for us to align our worship on Gods terms.  -Homemade religion is convenient  -Homemade religion uses God  -Homemade religion leaves you hopeless -Homemade religion is destructive 

God shows His grace and mercy to Samson for us to see that He will not be mocked, and He will not share His glory with false gods. God always gets the last word.  -God is Patient but He Will Not Be Mocked -God is Merciful but He Will Not Share His Glory

What we believe about Christ matters. He is the Son of Man who is God in flesh. We must behold His beauty, glory, and splendor.  -Deity Revealed -Deity Rejected -Deity Believed

Christians must be people who seek to understand the truth of who God is because, bad theology is costly. -God Uses Broken People and Painful Situations -God is Generous and Faithful -God is About Grace, Not Bargaining  -God Promotes Unity, Not Pride

Repentance is a word that we as Christian’s should always remember. Our Christian life is a life of repenting for our sins, and turning towards and serving the Lord.  1. A Comfortable Season because of Mercy 2. A Crushing Misery because of Sin 3. A Superficial Cry that God Rejects 4. A Genuine Turning that God Receives 

The Resurrection of Jesus changes everything! We as believers find hope and confidence in the resurrection of Christ.  1. Witness the Proof of the Resurrection  2. Wonder the Power of the Resurrection 3. Walk in the Power of the Resurrection 

Come see the price that Jesus paid at the cross for sinners. 1. The price that man paid for Jesus  2. The price that Jesus paid for man 

The story of Abimelech is a sobering reminder for us to see that God is not absent from this evil world, but He conquers evil through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.  The Nature of Evil  The Deception of Evil The Spread of Evil The Judgement of Evil 

The Gideon narrative should cause us to be humble before the Lord. May we constantly learn to trust Him, and be willing to live our lives in constant dependence on Him for sustenance.  The Danger of Confidence The danger of Hypocrisy  The Danger of Counterfeit Worship The Danger of Controlling Desires

Paul’s Longing is an attitude every believer is encouraged to have towards preaching the Gospel to the ends of the earth.  A Prayerful Longing A Prayerful Visit  A Prayerful Strengthening 

Because the Lord alone is the eternally enthroned King, his people can stand firm in the terrors that rage beneath his reign. The Transcendent Reign of the King  The Terrors that Challenge His Reign  The Truth that Outlasts Every Flood The Transcendent becomes Tangible 

God reduces our strength when necessary, to make His power known for His glory and our good.  3 points: Faith that is Stretched  Faith that is Strengthened  Faith that is Successful 

Great is God’s grace and great is His faithfulness. He never forsakes or leaves His people.  4 Truths: -Our gracious and faithful God saves the unworthy  -Our gracious and faithful God promises His presence  -Our gracious and faithful God demands undivided allegiance  -Our gracious and faithful God strengthens weak faith
