God has architected prayer to effect his purposes into the world. Those who see this come to pass understand the authority they have been given before God, by God.

To get ahold of God's heart in prayer, first, he must to get ahold of ours in prayer. Fasting intensifies intensifies prayer so it gets to our heart.

When God's presence specially comes to dwell with us, we can't help but respond in worship, obedience, and humility.

When God comes to dwell with us we can't help but worship him.

God comes to us in the second person of the Trinity - Jesus. We know what the unseen God is like because Jesus dwelt among us.

Jesus is the true son of David and has established his kingdom forever.

In Adam, all mankind was plunged into sin and death. In Jesus, mankind was rescued into righteousness and life. 

The virgin birth has been celebrated by all Christians through time. Why? Because it teaches us how great Jesus is.

When Jesus returns and makes all things new, it will be the realization of the best of life and relief of the worst of life. 

Revelation 19-20 -- Christians rule and reign in the millennium and prepare for the great wedding.  

Babylon is the city that symbolizes the world system set against God. And Babylon is not worth hoping in. It will fall, and God's people will have victory over it.

As the bowels of wrath are poured out, we live in God's story, which is the same episode on repeat through all time. We need a story that makes sense of all other stories. 

When Jesus returns, there will be salvation and there will be judgement. What determines our destiny is our past decisions.

As the dragon wages his war against the church, he releases two beasts to do his bidding.

John's retelling of the Christmas story in Revelation 12.

The world is judged and harassed and the church prophecies and sacrifices. Then Jesus returns.

History is the story of suffering. Who can stand? By God's power, the church will be the last one standing. 

What does John see when he peaks into the heavenly realm? He sees the tremendous, matchless worth of God and of Christ.

The all-seeing and all-knowing Jesus has a word for his people. It is a word of correction, judgement and reproof, but also - a word of invitation to more.

Revelation one sets the frame for the rest of the book. If we pay attention to the images and symbols and phrases of John's vision, we will get the rest of the book right.

Jesus worked hard. He balanced his work with deep rest. We need a vision for rest just as much as a vision for our work.

For work to be meaningful, we must find value in it. The New Testament teaches that there is great value even in menial work. 

Jesus cares just as much about loving our neighbor as he does about loving God. How can we bring a vision for loving our neighbor into our work, and how does that play out? Paul's message to bondservants and masters helps us love our neighbor in our work.

As image bearers of God, we have the unique ability to release creativity in order to bless the world. And even though sin has contorted our image-bearing capacity, Jesus can redeem it.
