After The Witch I feel Robert Eggers has let himself down with some boring and less than stellar films.   Things seemed bright when he announced he was remaking Nosferatu. Gothic horror done by the man who loves the sub genre.   What could go wrong? This was a partnership meant to be…right?   Join Ciaran and Trevor as they discuss this copy and paste take on an already over done character and or s...

In the early 1990s studios were jumping on the success of Batman. From Dick Tracy to The Phantom and The Shadow.   Darkman was one of those films.   Sam Raimi and team decided to do a creature feature and superhero combo. With quirky characters and quirky effects and comic book violence, Universal thought they had a new franchise.   What went wrong?   Join Ciaran and Trevor as they talk about the...

The Santa Clause was a hit and sadly is still beloved to this day.   Crap.   You know you have problem when it's directed by the guy that brought us Miss Congeniality 2   Join Ciaran and Trevor and they discuss why this Trainwreck of a holiday film doesn't hold a candle to classics like Home Alone    Enjoy..we didn't 😁   #TimAllen #WendyCrewson #JudgeReinhold #JohnPasquin

This film was well received by viewers and critics but since its release in the mid 90s it has vanished.   Long Kiss Goodnight is a new take on the buddy cop action comedies we got in the 80s.    With over the top action and smart ass banter peppered in with a few dramatic moments this film deserves to be on the same shelf with such films as Lethal Weapon and 48 Hours.   Join Ciaran and Trevor as...

Carry On does just that..carries on where 90s action classics like Speed, Passenger 57 and Air Force One left off. See what I did there? Clever opening right?  I liked it. Ethan needs to figure out how to stop being manipulated by the traveler who is in his ear making him do the unthinkable. Chaos starts to kick in as he gets closer to allowing this package pass by security and at the same time tr...

Well it's time to check in with Ricky to see how he has handled his brother's death of which he had witnessed all those years ago. He hasn't handled it well. The colour red, nuns and garbage day are only some of the things that cause him to flip out and to wreak havoc in this small town. Join Ciaran and Trevor as they discuss this follow up to Silent Night Deadly Night and how it holds up or doesn...

Smile 2 is the sequel to horror smash.   CitizenFrame was not a fan of it for it lacked tension, scares and way too many down times.   Was not looking forward to this..   Very few sequels get it right by not fixing the issues that plagued the first one. Smile 2 is by far what the Godfather 2 is to its big brother…. superior    Join Ciaran and Trevor as they discuss what the director has done to hi...

36 years later and we finally get a sequel to the 1988 hit Beetlejuice.   This time Lydia enlists the help of her ex fiancé, Beetlejuice (😁) to help her daughter, Astrid from some evil doings.   At the same time Beetlejuice's ex comes back from the dead to get her revenge.   Join Ciaran and Trevor as they discuss if this was a necessary sequel and more importantly does it hold up to the original....

Beetlejuice is a Tim Burton classic.     From the one liners to the fun effects this film is a staple in 80s cinema.   A horror comedy that deals with suicide, murder, underage marriage and of course the walking dead.     Funny as hell!   Join Ciaran and Trevor as they discuss the film that is still beloved to this day.   Enjoy!   #MichaelKeaton #TimBurton #AlecBaldwin #GeenaDavis #WinonaRyder #Da...

The Substance is something that shouldn't appeal to me..but it does.   Why?   Body horror is not something I appreciate and in fact avoid. However, if in the right hands can it be more about someone's journey rather than the gore effect.   Join Ciaran and Trevor as they discuss this hit and why people are drawn to it.   Enjoy!   #DemiMoore #DennisQuaid #MargaretQualley #CoralieFargeat

Halloween 3 was not well received when first released. The misleading title was one of those reasons…where's Michael!?   Years have passed and the film has seemed to find an audience. From its fun jingle to its corny effects and hammy dialogue this horror film has found its footing over 40 years later.   Join Ciaran and Trevor as they discuss sexy Dr. Challis and his pursuit of the evil toy maker,...

Well as you all know I'm not a fan of this elevated horror. I feel the filmmakers and their audience feel that these types of films are smarter than they actually are.    Most importantly (no fault to the filmmakers) the sub genre, Elevated Horror comes off as derogatory to other horror films and other sub genres in it.    However, you give me a killer demon goat named Philip! You might win me ove...

20024 Salem's Lot has been benched by Warner Brothers for a few years during their restructuring.    This was not the film's fault.    Remakes already are in danger of being blacklisted even before the camera rolls.      Join Ciaran and Trevor as they fight over this film and why it was doomed long before its benching.  The team will shed some light on this film (see what I did there 😁) and if it...

It's slasher time as we chat about..    Founder's Day! !    This political slasher tries too hard to be clever and that's its issue.    However, can the nice kills save it?    Join Ciaran and Trevor as they discuss this slasher that no one has yet to see unless you really search for it.    Enjoy!    #FoundersDay #WilliamRuss

What do you get when you mix Italian filmmakers Dario Argento and Mario Bava?    You get Lamberto Bava.. Director of Demons 1985.    This film has not much to say but boy does it say a lot. Trust me, Ii believe that makes sense.    This film has a hairband, steampunk, Romero esq quality that certainly doesn't let up.    Join Ciaran and Trevor as they discuss this horror fan fav and if it's worth a...

It's time for Halloween month and a ½!!! We start things off with this 1979 spooky house classic.   The lutz family just bought a house for next to nothing.
