CISN in the Morning

It was a sad day for the Eskimos and our traveling fans, Chris and Matt. The boys lost down in cow town, but it doesn't mean that there weren't any highlights from the trip! We also had to make good with our sister station down in Calgatry and play Gord Bamford's "Is It Grey Cup Yet?" in honor of the Stamps victory.  

Gonna be a big sports weekend with the Eskies taking on the Stamps down in Calgary, and we get you all set for with our special guest, Eskimo Justin Sorensen! We also make a call down to our sister station in Calgary and make a little wager with them with some help from the one and only, Gord Bamford!   

We got an email form a listener who's syuper frustrated by the dating scene and is looking for aome advice. CISN Country came to the rescue! We also got a call from Marjeen Maas, wife of Edmonton Eskimo head coach Jason Maas, about their weird love story. We also hear from Matt from Section O who got us all fired up about traveling to the game on sunday. 

The guys and gals from one of the best sections in football, section O, are heading down to cow town to cheer on the Eskies on Sunday. Sounds like Chris and Matt are going too, and they needed a little advice. Good thing Matt, who runs the Section O twitter account, was able to join em on the phone to prepare us for what it's like being a traveling Eskimo fan. 

You an owner of a dirty fridge? Today is the day to clean it out, it's National clean out your fridge day. That got us talking about the grossest thing you've pulled out of the cold box. We also got into a heated discussion about stuff you judge other parents for, since Jack feels like her doctor is super judgy about her parenting sklls. 

It was pure chaos on the roads today in Edmonton, with plenty of people belly aching about people going waaaaayyy too slow on some streets. That got us in the debate, fast or slow? Which is worse? We also talked about your weird bone breaks after Carrie underwood busted her arm falling off her stairs at home.  

Can you beleive it? Kennedy is turning one today! And Jack has cooked up quite the elaborate birthday party for her. We also talk about the crazy stuff you've seen a kids parties. We also give away our LAST Mexcio trip and talk to Gold Medal winning curler, Mark Kennedy about his new calander!

PBR and CFR? We're a spoiled city! We gear everyone up for the weekend of rodeo, and give away a handful of tickets. We also got an early morning call from a woman who is a little worried about turning on her Christmas lights on pre Remembrance Day, we take your calls on it.   

Ahrg! One wife i fed up with her husband dressing as a try hard cowboy all rodeo week, so we took your thoughts on the subject. We also recap everything CMA's and let you know who the big winners were. Oh not to mention we had CFR, PBR and Jake Owen meet & greets to give away!

We're all geared up for the CFR and the PBR! And to celebrate Western Week & the PBR Global Cup, we had bull riders, Zane and Lachlan in studio to have our own little Global Cup. Chris also caught some serious heat from Matt for putting Ketchup on his lasagna, so we asked if it was weird or what?

We review the madness that was our barrel riding adventure, and let you know who won. The big story today was the naked car crash in Nisku, so naturally we talked about your driving naked tales. And to top it all off we chat about the weird tales of babysitting.     

We love Mondays mostly because we get to give away another trip to Mexico! Jack also had to give some bad news to all of Kennedy's baby friends so we talked about your parenting call of shames. Plus we get everyone geared up for our big barrel racing completion that kicks off rodeo week! 

Taylor Hall is back so naturally we talked about your awkward ex run ins. We also made our big CFR challenge announcement, we’ll be competing against each other on Monday in a barrel race (on real horses!). CFR Hall of Fame barrel racer, Rayel Robinson joined us on the phone to get everyone all pumped up.   

Right off the bat on today's show we talk to Julie who is having a bit of an issue with Movember and her hubby's dirty old rat stache. And fresh off their big win in Calgary, Edmonton Eskimo Justin Sorensen comes in to regale us with tales from the field. We also had another very special guest, Edmonton Eskimo President, Len Rhodes!         

Buck the deer head made his first appearance on the show today, helping us give away a big, fat gift card frm our friends at Cabela's. And since it was opening day of rifle hunting season, we took your stories about yur great "hunt". Plus we also chatted about the wildest meat you've eaten.

If you've listened to the show live before, you know how much Chris LOVES his my pillow. We decided that it would be a good idea to bring that love out in costume form. We also have our Monster Off contest and chat about the strangest thing you've gotten trick or treating. 

Today is the fateful day we pick our first winners from the week 1 of qualifiers! We also get into Jack's big trick or treat problem she’s dealing with year to year. And who can forget about the HUGE Big Valley Jamboree announcement we had!

It's almost Matt's favorite day of the year, adult Halloween! And on the eve of such a big day, we had a big man in the studio, Justin Sorensen from the Edmonton Eskimos! He had quite the dilemma with which costume he was going to wear which we needed your help to sort out. We also took your low budget costume ideas and gave away another two more chances to head to Mexico!  

We all got a shock when 2 police officers showed up to arrest our little Matt! With a whole list of crimes - he was a very wanted man........

Chris is the subject of this weeks "Weird or What?" he wants to know if his obsession with his leaf blower is normal or not. We check in with his daughter to see how bad it actually is and take your stories. We also get our resident coffee expert Jack to taste test 3 different coffees to find out which one is actually the best. 

Jack tells us a tale about her cousin hiding stuff for a sale on a later date and shared a little story of her kleptomania. We also bring back "is my tongue out" for Brantley Gilbert tickets. And thank goodness, Jack may have found the greatest pumpkin deal ever.    

The only job Matt had to as a Groomsman this past weekend was to look good, and he screwed that up. We hear his tale and get your groomsman/bridal party screw ups. We also hear from Global Calgary Sports Anchor, Jordan Baker, for another edition of "are you smarter than a Calgarian?" Plus we have two more qualifiers for our trip to Mexico!

Chris is going to be hosting at the laugh for life gala this weekend with a bunch of comedians, so we decided to test your comedy chops with a joke off. And with a new report saying Millenials are basically lack all life skills, we asked the people what basic skill they don't have. Oh and we debut "tongue out or in" for Old Dominon tickets!  

It's the glorious return of Truth or Bullsheetz! This harrowing tale comes from Chris's time on the farm and a rouge swather. We also hear from a lady whose husband has serious issues on Facebook and we start qualifying people for our next trip to Mexico!    

It was a sad day for Canada, early in the show we found out that Tragically Hip Frontman, Gord Downie, had passed away. We shared your stories, and played a tribute to him. We also talked about all these new age baby names, and the "different" names that you've come across. And we find out what Jack's real problem is these days... pumpkins.
