Peter calls us to be faithful witnesses in the midst of unjust suffering. This means we are courageous, compelling, and consistent through the empowering work of Jesus.

As Peter concludes the middle section of his letter, we see that Christians are called to be unified in suffering righteously.

Peter writes not just to Christian wives, but to Christian husbands that they are called to focus on glorifying God in their marriages.

In a continuation of Peter's address from last week, we see that we are called to endure mistreatment as faithful witnesses because Jesus endured it for our new life.

In the next section of his letter, Peter makes the point that a faithful witness will make a kingdom impact. This faithful witness doesn't just stay with us but extends to how we live in society.

Christians are the most privileged people in the world. We have the privilege of coming to Christ, of becoming a spiritual house, and belonging to the family of God.

The Gospel transforms us to live as a community that loves one another earnestly and longs to know the Word.

In our text today, we will learn how to endure in the midst of persecution and trials. We do it with one another, with hope, with holiness, and with fear.

In a text that sets the tone for the rest of the letter, we will see from 1 Peter 1:3-12 that the resurrection of Christ changes how we live in a world that is not our home.

In our opening verses for 1 Peter, we examine the three life stages of the apostle and what we are called to remember as Christians living in a broken world.

Ecclesiastes gives us the perspective we need heading into 2021. We will see that God’s sovereignty over time gives us the freedom to enjoy His good gifts and trust in His eternal works.

As 2020 comes to a close, we look back on the year and learn to lament from Psalm 13.

In our final Advent text, we see that God's eternal plan was that Christ would live a sinless life, die a substitutionary death, and eternally rule and reign as king so that we would discover the true heart of Christmas: the attitude of Christ.

In the opening verse of Hebrews, we see that God's supreme word and Son give us confidence, assurance, and hope so we can encourage one another.

In this opening prologue to the gospel of John, we're going to observe six characteristics of Jesus.

Even in the midst of the darkness we are experiencing, we can be confident that our light has come and he will come again.

In our final sermon on Jonah, we will see how Jonah's actions and reactions came from not believing the truth about God's character. Because God is patient with us, we should be quick to repent, rejoice in His mercy, and extend His kindness to others.

In Nineveh's response to Jonah's proclamation, we'll see that God's judgment is only averted through expectant faith and true repentance.

As Jonah is vomited from the belly of the fish, he receives God's call a second time. In our text, we'll see that since we have been given God’s story, we go obediently to wherever He calls us to proclaim it.

In the belly of the fish, Jonah cries to the Lord for deliverance. We'll see in Jonah's song that because salvation belongs to the Lord, we can hope in Him.

Because God is a just judge, He will not let sin go unpunished. In this text, we see four responses people take when they encounter God's judgment.

In the opening verses of Jonah, we see that God's call isn't based on our obedience but on His character.

In our final sermon examining the mission and vision for Church of The Redeemer, we'll see how we grow faithfully as we invite our city to participate in God's Story of Redemption. We must follow Christ's example in John 4 to sow and reap faithfully, trusting His Spirit to bring life.

In the story of the woman at the well, we're examining our motives as a church for mission. We'll see Jesus' identification with sinners and His invitation for them to worship.

God's Story of Redemption produces a transformed and intentional community. We'll see how to embrace, live, and share this story in a community of believers from Acts 2:42-47.
