Christmas is the time we celebrate our Savior. Who came to save us from sin and death. To make peace between us and God. And yet, for many of us, Christmas can be one of the most anxiety inducing times of the whole year, right?   Why is that?

Philippians as a Christmas sermon? You might be surprised. Christ has given us the Greatest Gift, and we have many good gifts to give each other... 

How do we do all things without grumbling or disputing?

What is salvation? Why does the Bible sometimes talk about it as a work that's complete in our lives, sometimes talk about it as an ongoing process, and sometimes talk about it as a work that will be complete in the future? What does it mean to work out our salvation with fear and trembling?

Who will you serve: Wisdom or Folly? And if you are fool, will you be the proud kind or the teachable kind? Everyone has to choose, as Pastor Jake preaches to us from Proverbs 9...

Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God, and that's one of the keys to understanding the entire book of Proverbs, as Nathan shows us in Proverbs 8.

King Solomon was the son of a marriage that began in adultery and murder, so he knew what he was talking about in Proverbs 7 when he warned again against Lady Folly.

Nobody loves reproof, but it's how God grows us, and we should be thankful for it when it happens. If we reject it, we make ourselves vulnerable to sin and death.
