It was a moment of deep realization for them about their Savior Jesus. Who do you say Jesus is? This is the question that every single person must answer during this life. Here in John 18, we see how three people came face to face with this question. All of them responded differently. Your response to Jesus matters for all eternity!

I say it often, but that's because it's true - Jesus is our example. As we get into John 18 this week I was struck by the example of Jesus yet again. He follows the will of God for his life allowing himself to be arrested, fully aware of all that's coming his way. What does it look like for us to follow this kind of example in our lives? Think and wonder about this with me today.

We're finishing up Jesus' prayer here in John 17. And it's incredible because this week we learn that Jesus prays for us! That's right, you and I are prayed for by Jesus. So good! Themes of glory and unity continue in verses 20-26. I hope you enjoy.

Jesus prays for His disciples in the passage that we look at today. Are you a disciple of Jesus? If so, there is much for you and me to learn from what he prays about for here in John 17. A key to this message is seeing the joy that we can experience in Christ even as we live in the midst of hardship is this troubling world.

Have you ever listened to someone as they prayed out loud? What did you learn about them? What did their prayer tell you about their heart? Today, in John 17, we look at the prayer Jesus prayed just a short while before He is arrested, put on trial, and crucified. Some amazing insights beginning this week!

Jesus doesn't pull any punches with His followers. In the passage we're looking at today (John 16:16-33) Jesus tells us the truth about what it looks like to follow him. It will be tough, there will be challenges, but the joy that comes into our lives is ours forever! 

In this short and sweet message we blend the old and the new. We look at the ancient story of Jesus' birth and see how it is meant to impact us right now in the time that we're living. We've been looking at faith, hope and love. But then Paul goes off and says that love is the greatest. What makes love great? And, what makes Paul say that love is the greatest even amongst faith and hope? In this message we look at four reasons why love stands out as THE characteristic of God and the characteristic we should most try to emulate.
