Jesus orders His Church so that the prayerful ministry of the Word and ministries of mercy flourish together to multiply disciples.

Because Jesus rose exactly as He promised, we can trust every promise He has made.

Today, Ruling Elder Wes Preaches on the text found in Matthew 28.

Jesus is the innocent King who bore our guilt on the cross so that we might enter justly into the paradise of God’s kingdom by his authority.

Jesus remains faithful in the darkness of human blindness and unfaithfulness so that the unfaithful might be restored to prayerful dependence upon the Father.

Jesus sovereignly fulfills all of God’s covenant promises through His betrayal, suffering, and death in order to accomplish the true Exodus and bring weak and failing disciples into His kingdom.

Jesus is the true Temple who was destroyed on the cross for our sins and raised on the third day so that God’s presence would dwell with and within His people by the Spirit.

Jesus shows that our ultimate allegiance belongs to the Christ: the Son of God and the Son of Man.

Because Jesus is the beloved Son and rejected Cornerstone who possesses all authority from the Father, we are no longer to live as though our lives belong to us, but to joyfully submit to Him and bear fruit for God by the Spirit.

Jesus, the true temple, was destroyed so that through Him we might become God's dwelling place, living in prayerful communion. There was an issue with the sound in the beginning, it is fixed by about the 3 minute mark.

Because God is just, the guilty cannot be with Him, and yet, in His mercy, Jesus bore our guilt so that we might become His people

Because Jesus, our Immanuel, died to bring God's presence to us, we can find our true permanence in Him and are free to share His presence wherever we go.

Because Christ was not left in the grave, we have a refuge that guarantess our joy in the presence of God forever.

Because Jesus is the Lord who brings peace through His visitation, He is rightly praised, yet tragically unrecognized, resulting in judgment for those who reject Him and peace for those who recognize Him.

Because Jesus has been judged in our place, we are freed from the fear of the coming King to serve Him with joy in His present reign.

By welcoming the chief tax collector, Jesus shows his mission to seek and save the lost so that we might become children of God.

Jesus, the merciful Son of David, saves those who know they are blind and cry out to Him, and His salvation leads to devotion and worship.

Because Christ freed us for sonship, we are now freed from the slavery of self into the service of love by the power of His Spirit.
