Josh Hayward kicks off the talks for us in Mark 12:28-34 to see just how BIG God is. Following Jesus means worshipping (or magnifying) him with everything. Josh finishes looking at the hope of Christmas by seeing this hope guaranteed in the person of Jesus. 1 Peter 1 speaks of a hope that God has given his people that can never perish, spoil or fade, and we know this is the living hope that we have in the resurrection of Jesus! Josh and Rach reflect further on Genesis 11 and what this has to say about human pride, as well as what it looks like to live with humility because of Jesus.

People absolutely LOVE to make a name for themselves, which is interesting because we were created to make a name for God. Andee helps us see that Genesis 11 gives us a beautiful picture of humanity banding together to glorify themselves and God acting swiftly to take this seriously.  This talk was given at Senior High on Sunday 28 November.

After the flood God used to bring destruction, and having saved a few people through this, humanity had a fresh start. Would they live for God, or turn back to the old sinful ways? Have a read of Genesis 9 and listen to this to find out! This talk was given at Senior High on Sunday 21 November.

Josh and Rach chat through some more implications of human wickedness, God's destruction, and the mercy he shows to his people! 

The classic story of Noah's ark is definitely a bit different to what we might remember it as kids! Rach helps unpack what God actually says in Genesis 6-8 about the way God responds to human wickedness with destruction, while also giving mercy to those who were righteous.  This talk was given at Junior High on Friday 12 November.

Josh and Rach think a little further about Genesis 4 and some of the things it raises about the character of God, and the way that he treats sin.

Sin is bad. That's a fact. Genesis 3 speaks of how humanity have chosen to reject God, and some of the problems that this brings for all of us. Fortunately, the ultimate problem has a solution (Hello, Jesus). This talk was given at Senior High on Sunday 31 October.

God has a lot to say in Genesis 2 about many important things! Josh and Rach chat about why it's important that we listen closely to God's Word in the crowd of voices that our world speaks to us, and then some of the good and true things that he shows us about being made in his image, being made male and female, and marriage (and singleness!).
