Rosie unpacks some of the very big questions that the first part of Genesis asks us: since we're made in the image of God, what does that say about being made male and female, how do males and females relate together, and what the heck is marriage? This talk was given at Youth Online on Friday 22 October.

Josh and Rach have a chat through what it means to have value as people who are made in the image of God. There are some topics discussed that might bring up things that would be helpful to chat to your leaders or parents about afterwards, so please have that in mind!

Humanity are pretty spectacular. Every wondered why that is? Genesis has the answer for us: it's because we are made in God's image. We have value because God has made us in his image. This talk was given at Youth Online on Friday 15 October.

Josh and Rach are back for another term, looking forward to another term of DEBRIEF: reflecting on what God has been saying in our groups and services throughout the past week. Genesis 1 is where we're at today, following the start of our SEASON ONE series. They reflect on how God has been at work in creation, as well as briefly chatting about some of the conversation surrounding science and God!

In the beginning, God made the heavens and Earth. This might be something you've heard a lot, or something you've not heard before. Josh takes us on a short journey through some reflections about the first chapter in the Bible, understanding more about the God of the Bible, our wonderful creator. Josh and Andee reflect on speaking to God, and Jesus' words in John 11:1-13. The relationship we have with Jesus and an ability to communicate with him is beautiful, and reflecting on how Jesus calls us to pray will hopefully be helpful for you!

Following Jesus shapes every single aspect of our lives as Christians, and it means we have a relationship with God! A key part of that relationship (other than listening, which we looked at last week) is speaking to God in prayer! Part of following Jesus 24/7 is having a relationship with him 24/7! And a key part of that relationship is listening to him: spending time getting to know him, and hearing his Word. Josh and Rach have a chat about what following Jesus 24/7 means for loving our families. It can definitely be hard sometimes! They also discuss some of the complexities of the word "submit" as used in the Colossians 3 passage we look at. fun!

Followers of Jesus have been loved by God to love God and others. But does that include our families??? Answer: Yes. Rach unpacks Colossians 3 for us and shows why and how we can be loving our families well. This walk was given at Youth Online on Friday 3 September 2021.

What does following Jesus 24/7 have to do with trusting in God for decision making? Great question. Josh and Rach chat through some of the implications of God being in control all the time, and the comfort and humility that brings us as we make decisions. They also think through the radical priorities Jesus gives those who follow him.

Making decisions is hard. But we all have to do it! So how do we make decisions while trusting that God is in control? Will my decisions impact the future too much? Josh helps us see what James 4 has to say about God's control over the future, as well as how to think about the priorities in decision making based on how following Jesus shapes this. As we follow Jesus 24/7, and the good news shapes every aspect of the Christian life, Rach Chan helps us see from Colossians 4:2-6 what it looks like to honour Jesus with our speech. Josh and Rach chat Olympics, and what following Jesus has to do with sport! Building on the talk from Friday, they uncover a bit more what an identity in Jesus looks like and how this shapes our sport (but also video games and other hobbies).

SPORT**! It's something that so many of us are involved in, but not necessarily something the Bible is explicit about. So what does following Jesus say about our sport? Josh takes some principles from the Bible to help us see what following Jesus 24/7 looks like when it comes to our sport. ** Or knitting, or board games, or anything else that uses our time!

Does God care about the environment? Should Christians care about taking care of this world? What does this have to do with Jesus?? Great questions. Rosie unpacks how the good news of Jesus and the redemption found in him isn't just good news for us, but the environment too.

Josh and Rach discuss what obeying Jesus and the authority he has placed over us looks like, flowing out of Youth Online Week 2. We looked at Romans 13:1-7, and thought about how obeying Jesus means obeying others.

As part of following Jesus 24/7, we obey the authorities he has placed over us. Romans 13 has much to say about what it looks like to obey Jesus and obey others!
