God draws near to meet with us. He speaks truth that doesn’t change. Are you listening? Expect Him to speak! Prepare your heart to hear him and be ready to respond.

Once slaves to darkness God delivered and restored us because He treasures us above all the Earth. As His kingdom of priests, He calls us to obedience and to keep His covenant. We are His holy nation—set apart, changed, and freed by the blood of Jesus, so that we may lead others to Him through the power of the Gospel.

Because Jesus lived as one of us, He is our perfect advocate. He is loved by God, stands in solidarity with us, and powerful to save—so we can have peace and confidence in Him.

Limitations are not sinful. We need Christian community to bear our burdens and remind us of godly priorities, and we need God and His presence. Without Him we will grow weary.

Our biggest concern is knowing God. He reveals himself to us in our lives— always at the center—the sovereign ruler. Sparing, delivering, and carrying us throughout the traps and trials. Seating us at His table, no longer enemies, and rejoicing in the One who is the true bread of life.

Isreal is at war against flesh and blood with Amalek, we too fight spiritual battles every day. The similarities between our conflicts and theirs include the characteristics of the enemy, the fight, the need for encouragement from those around us, and God’s role in it all. This passage reminds that God is sovereign over everything, His victory is assured.

God leads the Israelites into a waterless desert, where they have no choice but to rely on God for all they need. The Israelites response is to grumble, quarrel and test that God will keep his promises. Despite this unbelief, God provides water and himself. Yet these events stand as a warning to us not to respond to God’s plan in the same way.

In reviewing the first 16 chapters of Exodus we find that God wants to reveal himself to his people - and to us - that we would know him and be amazed. God wants to know Him, knowing Him we proclaim Him, proclaiming Him we know we are delivered by Him.

We and our children are products of a fallen world—rebellious sinners. Our goal is to disciple our children with love so they learn to image Jesus and lead them to God for His glory. Teach them how great God is and to love Him above all things. Remind them that Jesus is their true hope for everything, and encourage their obedience through training.

Following our own path or hoping in worldly things will always fail, but when our faith is in Jesus’ resurrection, we no longer fear being good enough to face God’s judgment. Our sins are forgiven and Jesus’ righteousness is imputed to us. When we encounter and believe in the risen Christ, we experience the joy of transformed lives and eternal hope.

United with Christ, we share His resurrection—freed from sin, walking in newness of life and filled with His power. So don’t let sin rule but offer ourselves as instruments of righteousness.

For His own purpose, God showed us who Jesus was—He proved and declared Jesus to be both Savior and Master. God sent Jesus to die on the cross so we could be made right with Him. And God raised Jesus from the dead to break the power of death and set us free.

What do you value most? Knowing Christ is unmatched in worth and value; there is no other way to attain the power of Christ’s resurrection.

True joy comes from living for Jesus. God calls His church to stand in solidarity, embracing suffering as a gift, steadfast in prayer, fearless, and united through reconciliation and forbearance in the face of opposition.

How can we stand firm in life’s trials? Suffering is real, yet in Christ, we find deep, abiding joy, knowing He is always with us. Rejecting despair, we rely on God’s power, standing boldly through prayer and the Spirit to honor Christ with unwavering faith.

We are called to forgive one another as the Lord has forgiven us, delivering us from darkness into the light. Reconciled and filled with the Word of Christ, we build one another up with singing, teaching, and admonishing.

If we follow the wrong examples, we stray from God and lose our way. Fear not—Christ’s followers will suffer, but He remains faithful. Stay rooted in His Word—parents, faithfully teach and live out His truth.

Jesus knew His time had come to suffer and die to atone for the sin of all nations. His sacrifice revealed God’s glory, love, justice and power. Without the cross there is no salvation, no mission, and no hope for the world.

Truth is who God is and love is acting in obedience to His truth. The more truth is in you, the more you will love God and love one another in the way Jesus commands.

In light of what God has done for us, He wants and motivates us to grow in our relationships with one another. We may love freely because He loves and forgives us.

Trouble can bring us closer to God and help us remember Him. When we cry out to Him, He delivers us, deepening our relationship and renewing our gratitude for His steadfast love.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, our hearts are transformed to image Christ and we are freed from the bondage of sin. As we grow in faith and trust, apply God's Word to our lives daily, meet with fellow believers to speak what is true about Jesus, and invite others to seek Him, we behold the glory of God.

Celebrate with a whole heart the wonderful things God has done this year. Remember, He gives you the ability to produce good things. Plan intentionally to seek and follow Him this year.
