“Seek me!” God invites us to draw nearer to Him this year. Recount the wonderful works of the Lord over the pas year; rejoice, give thanks, and sing praises.

Luke’s passage gives us certainty that Jesus is exactly who God promised—He fulfills the Law perfectly, is revealed by the Holy Spirit, and is confirmed by trustworthy witnesses like Simeon and Anna. Their Spirit-led testimony declares that this child is salvation for all people, not just Israel.

Good news! God replaces our great fear with occasion for great joy: He saves us, keeps us from stumbling, and welcomes us into His joyful, eternal presence.

Our tongue is a fire that can harm many; we even bear false witness about ourselves. But God never lies about anything, anyone, or Himself. Therefore we can hope in His words.

Are you believing the lie that God’s provision is not enough? Work and be generous. He provides all we need, through Christ, so that we can generously love and care for others.

We see that adultery is more than avoiding sex outside of marriage. God calls us to turn from all forms of sexual sin and from giving our hearts to anything above Him. Lust begins in the heart, but Jesus meets us with grace, forgiveness, and the power to change. In Him, we can be honest, repent, and find protection for our marriages and our souls.

Murder begins with the anger we carry in our hearts. We are called to love our neighbor as ourselves, for God made everyone in His own image. Jesus kept this command for us as our substitute, taking our sin and giving us His life.

Matt unpacks the 5th Commandment, the accompanying promise and curse, and how Jesus Christ fulfilled this law-doing everything to the glory and honor of God.

When we remember the greatness of God’s name, our lives reflect His strength, kindness, and power. Through Jesus, we’re freed to live in a way that shows His true worth.

God commands us to worship Him alone, for He is a jealous God who knows our hearts naturally make idols from what we can see and touch. But Jesus, the image of the invisible God, frees us from the curse of idolatry. Through the Holy Spirit, we are guided to worship by faith and hear the Lord’s Words in our hearts.

When we, believers under the New Covenant, look at the Ten Commandments through the lens of Jesus's fulfillment of the Law, we better understand the first and greatest commandment. God is Yahweh. He is the One true God who rescues His people first, then leads them to live for Him with undivided hearts.

The Law and the Prophets— indeed, the entire Old Testament—bear witness to Jesus. We are called to do and teach what He commands, for “all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”

The Law was glorious but has been surpassed in glory. The Law couldn’t change your heart; it brought death, but the New Covenant in Christ gives eternal righteousness and life. Behold Jesus!

Before Jesus, we were bound to the law, and the sin in our lives produced fruit of shame and death. After Jesus, we were immersed in Him, died and rose with Him. We are now dead to the law, belonging to Him and living by the Holy Spirit. We celebrate, unashamed, knowing that we are bearing good fruit for God’s glory

Disciples GO to make Jesus known, help others GROW by building fellow believers’ faith, and, with broken hearts, pray for more workers to share God’s forgiveness while staying close to Him.

Paul explains the secret to contentment. It is external, not dependent on our circumstances or earthly possessions but instead comes from Christ.

The law was given to reveal sin and point us to Christ. In Jesus, we are no longer captives under the law but adopted sons and daughters of God, redeemed and made heirs of His promise.

Why the law? To tell us of Who God is, His perfect will and holy character. The law guards people from sin, but makes it clear that we need a Savior.

We cannot be made right with God by the law, but Christ redeemed us by taking our curse and giving us His perfect obedience, so that God’s blessing would come to all who believe in Him.

Are you seeking God’s presence? What prevents or distracts you? He is ACTIVE in your life. He is near; He is working.

God makes and keeps His covenant promises. He sends, delivers, and provides for His people. So let us remember, give thanks, and praise Him!

The ten commandments not only show us how to live but also point us to ten characteristics about God. He wants to deliver us from bondage to sin so that we can be free from His judgement. But only faith in Jesus, not the law, can save us from the penalty of our sin and makes us free.

God is perfectly holy. Through the Holy Spirit, we desire and grow in holiness. Sanctification is His work—but we each have a part through obedience.

At the base of Mount Sinai God wanted his people’s undivided attentions, so He prepared them and then shook the earth. God warns his people that they need a mediator to be right next to Him. Jesus’s blood lets us go up to the mountain, He is the only way to go before him.
