This sermon reflects on the powerful truth that Jesus is King over all the world! He is also our personal King when we receive him into our lives. We were encouraged to humbly receive Jesus' kingship, being obedient and submitting to all he has called us too. For he is an amazing King that became a servant for us and is worthy of all our worship and adoration!

In part 5 of this series Jeff spoke to us about the judgement day that awaits us all. This day answers the innate cry for justice within us either on the shoulders of Jesus or in eternal judgement. Dayo encouraged us to heed the call of scripture to grow spiritually and into maturity. One of the ways we do this, is by hearing and doing what Gods Word says. We were also encouraged to lay hold of the promises in scripture and petition God about these. For he is a faithful and loving God who provides.

The most biblical rom-com reaches its climax in this chapter. We were challenged and encouraged to be sacrificial in our care for the vulnerable and needy as Boaz displays in this passage. This chapters narrative leads us to reflect on the shelter and rest that God provides underneath his powerful wings. We are encouraged to continue bringing ourselves to this place for comfort, security and spiritual refreshment. God does this for us because his covenant to his people is one of everlasting love.

We can trust fully as children of God that he abundantly pours out his favour and blessing on us. God does this in his mercy and grace.

The first chapter of Ruth see's Naomi experience much grief. Yet, in spite of this and Naomi's running away, we see God's mercy and grace displayed. We also see the amazing conversion of her daughter-in-law Ruth.

Throughout our lives we will encounter many different seasons. God encourages us to see his sovereign hand in each of these and to grow in him whilst we experience them.

The triumphant return of Jesus Christ is something to be joyfully anticipated and expected by all Christians.

This authentic Psalm expresses David's suffering and request for judgement on his enemies. We are reminded that there is a righteous punishment for sin. However, this Psalm points towards Jesus Christ who suffered in our place to atone for our sins for all who believe in him. We should be encouraged to be real with God in our prayers, but also to end in a place of praise and thanksgiving for what...

Since God is our light, salvation and the strength of our lives, we need not fear and we must seek the Lord above all else.

There is nothing else in life that can satisfy & fulfil us the way that the lovingkindness of God does! This love is not what God has done for us although he has done so much. But to experience this love is to be in Gods presence through relationship with him. Since, this is true we are encouraged to focus our gaze more on him than the things of this world.

Since we can look forward to eternity in heaven with God this part looks at how Christian's are supposed to approach grief. We were encouraged to embrace this God given emotion as Jesus did. But to not remain in a place of sorrow and sadness forever as God uses it to life our gaze again to our eternal hope and future.

Let us rejoice that Jesus gave up everything for us. Therefore, as recipients of this grace and perfect example, we through the power of the Spirit can be encouraged & equipped to give everything in our faithful service to him.

Since we have Union with Christ through his amazing grace, we are transformed by the Holy Spirit dwelling in us daily to be more like Jesus. This allows us through God's power to put off sinful behaviours and put on holy behaviours.

The Christian can be absolutely certain and confident that they will have eternity with God. This allows us to live our lives free from the fear of death and give ourselves fully to serving God including how stewarding our resources well. The eternal outcome for those who are not saved is perilous and this must motivate us to share the good news with everyone.

These verses expose the futility of legalism, the idea that we are made right with God through obedience to the law. Instead we are righteous before God because of his amazing grace and mercy. Therefore, as children of God we pray we are kept from slipping into legalism, and instead grow in maturity by focusing our eyes more on God.

Since Jesus is the most precious jewel & our greatest treasure we are called to life lives worthy of the manner of our calling. We do this through resurrection power supplied to us by the in dwelling Holy Spirit.

These verses reveal the glorious and majestic supremacy of Jesus. Since this is true, we must seek to make Jesus number one in all areas of our lives. For this will be time well spent!

Our response to God's mercy and grace received by us can only be one of thanksgiving! So, let us as people of God burst with thanksgiving for all God has done and continues to do.

For all who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour death has lost its sting! This means we do not have to fear death, but can instead joyfully anticipate our eternal future to come!

The conversion of Saul to Paul demonstrates the amazing grace of God in salvation. But it also shows us how grace given through the Holy Spirit equips and empowers us to live as faithful followers of Christ.

Habakkuk was once a complainer, but now he's a worshipper, as he considers the great deeds of God in the past and his judgement to come.  Habakkuk says whatever happens he will rejoice in God.  Part 4 of 4 in our Habakkuk sermon series.
