This sidebar covers episodes 6-12. Chinney breaks down how David starts the process of becoming an overwhelming force in Shelonda's life.

Shelonda marries David in an elaborate ceremony. She receives something old (David's last name), something new (a present from David), something borrowed (an unexpected honeymoon surprise), and something blue (to be discussed on a future sidebar).

It's the continuation of David and Shelonda's date anniversary, and the surprises just keep on coming. Shelonda even surprises herself. 

A few years have passed, and Shelonda is enjoying the perks of being David's girlfriend--mundanely. But on the anniversary of their fifth date, David surprises her with something that changes the stakes. In return, she also gives him something without even knowing it.

Shelonda has settled into a comfortable existence with David, and has started to notice the dynamics of the couples around them. David has done everything that he said he'd do, but that is a double edged sword.

The deal has been done. It has been decided upon, by David, that he and Shelonda are in a relationship. But that comes with conditions....of course.

David has extended a proposition to Shelonda. Now, they BOTH make a decision.

Shelonda has been seeing David for a while, and the situation is quite stagnant. But at the six month mark, he expresses a desire to change the dynamics of their relationship--in the most audacious way.

In this first sidebar of season 1, episodes 1-5 are covered. Chinney explains how, per the normal pattern of her behavior, Shelonda has collected another man to fill the void. 

An alarming set of events take place after Shelonda's date. But as usual, she chooses to ignore them.

Shelonda gets introduced to a new group and finds that she's a chameleon.

After months of being in the emotional pits, Shelonda finds a motivation to pull herself together. The "motivation" presents something unexpected. 

Now we know who Shelonda's new man is. But how did that come about? In this episode, Shelonda comes to some deep realizations about the vulnerabilities that have lead to the choices that she has made. Also, the keepsake box reemerges, forcing Shelonda to revisit all of the things that she has lost.

Here she goes again. Shelonda meets a new KEN, and this one is a shocker.

In this final sidebar of season 2, Chinney discusses the heartbreaking aftermath of Shelonda getting too far ahead. 

Dealing with  immeasurable losses, Shelonda has to find a way to move forward. She has to do so while dealing with the feeling that she has contributed to it all.  

Shelonda has always wondered when her karma would come for her. It arrives in a way that she never expects. The results....are heart wrenching.

Shelonda and Antonio's relationship starts to suffer, but can they get it back to where it used to be?

Shelonda finds that she's struggling to find normalcy after the "situation".
