In Nairobi, Kenya, teenage John falls in love with ice hockey. When his new friend, Sam, introduces him to the only rink in the country, he decides to build a team to bring people together.

With Ms. Bakari, the manager of the hotel housing the hockey rink breathing down their necks, John and Sam try to make the Ice Lions a real team. When they struggle to even find a name, an intrepid young woman named Anna comes to the rescue.

John, Sam and Anna hit the streets to recruit for the Kenyan Ice Lions, but it’s not easy finding players in the heart of Nairobi.

The Ice Lions face off against their first real opponents…and it does not go so well. The team is in danger of breaking up.

John attempts to build team unity with an adventurous field trip. When the wheels come off the bus, the Ice Lions must work together to find a way back home.

To raise money for equipment, the Ice Lions start a “kindness business.” However, they may soon find themselves without a home rink.

As the Ice Lions return to school, their dreams of playing real hockey games seems further away than ever. Only John witnesses something amazing that keeps the hope alive.

Ms. Bakari surprises John and the Ice Lions with an act of generosity. The coach of the powerhouse South African Rhinos hockey team invites the Ice Lions to play an exhibition game.

The Ice Lions journey to South Africa to take on the Rhinos in a game that could cement them as a real team. But John soon learns that the Rhinos don’t respect the Ice Lions, and don’t plan to play hard.

In the exciting finale, the Ice Lions finally face off against the skilled and aggressive Rhinos. When the Lions realize the Rhinos are taking it easy on them, they vow to force their opponents to play for real, no matter the final score. Can the Ice Lions fulfill John’s dream, earn respect as a real team, and bring people together in the process?

When Sunshine Scoops ice cream shop loses its entire stock overnight, Benny, the owner, is ready to throw in the towel, but Nora’s got a hunch the summer heat wasn’t the only culprit—and she’s on the case before the business melts away for good. 

When Nora’s nemesis Caden digs up an old pirate map on the beach, he offers to sell it to her friend Freddie for a steep price, but Nora’s seen too many schemes to buy into buried treasure that easily.  Freddie needs the truth, and Nora’s the one to find it.

When a rare gold coin disappears from Sunshine Bay’s Seafaring Museum, a brand-new security guard, Milo, gets in big trouble. If Nora doesn’t help Milo find the missing treasure, his first week on the job might be his last.

A customer at Louie’s Lobster Hut claims a seagull named Smudge stole her lobster roll right out of her hand. When she demands a replacement Nora suspects something doesn’t add up.  If Nora doesn’t crack the case, the shop’s reputation might take a swan dive. 

At the annual Taffy Count competition, Nora and Trey catch a case when their rival Caden wins with a suspicious strategy… 

At the bustling Sunshine Bay Flea Market, Nora, Trey, and their mom stumble upon what appears to be a priceless 1718 journal detailing the legendary capture of pirate Peg-Leg Pickette. But is the journal actually pirate booty or a bust?
