We rejoice in our sufferings becasue we have been granted access to God through Jesus. We also know our sufferings produce perseverance, character, and hope.

We are saved by grace through faith alone. There is no other way.

Abraham is the father of those who've placed their faith in Jesus. We are made right before God by faith alone.

Faith is the center of Christianity. Everything depends upon it.

Jesus is our atoning sacrifice which means that he took God's wrath on himself for our sin. What a blessing!

Paul says that we are made right with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Paul continues his discussion about how we are made right with God apart from following the Old Testament law perfectly. We are made right by faith in Jesus.

None of us are righteous before God. We have all gone astray, but there is hope in Jesus.

God is always faithful to fulfill his promises and the unfaithfulness of his people does not change that reality.

Paul tells those of us who are religious that we shouldn't get too haughty becasue we have a religious system by which we live our lives. God requires our hearts to be devoted to him, not just our bodies.

God is patient and kind with those whom he loves. We are not to presume that he apporoves of our sin becuase of he is kind.

There are serious consequences for our sin, and they are not good for us.

Paul continues his argument about how we got ourselves into our predicatment of sin and misery, which is essential for us to understand befroe we find true hope in Jesus.

Paul begins his argument for the just outpouring of God's judgemnet on sin with an explanation of how we are without excuse in our sin.

Paul was unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ becuase it is the power of God for salvation. We explore that statement in this podcast.

The Apostle Paul began his theological treatise to the Romans by introducing himself and his apostelship to them.

Jacob was called to devote himself and his household to God at Bethel, where God reconfirmed His promise to him and reminded him of the life transformation that God had brought into his life.

God worked graciously in Esau's and Jacob's lives. He moved Esau to forgive Jacob and blessed them both through his grace. Holding onto bitterness only harms the bitter one.

Jacob wrestled with God and he refused to give up until he received God's blessing. This was a turning point in his life as he was called to submit his life to God's will.

Jacob trust that God would fulfill His promise to reconcile him to his brother Esau. However, Jacob also was willing to do what was necessary to bring about that reconciliation.

God was with Jacob and He sent angels to minister to Jacob to prove to him that He was present. He does the same for us in His Holy Spirit.

Jacob and Laban found a compromise and made an agreement to be witnessed by God. Oftentimes, that is the best way forward when we disagree with others.

Jacob worked hard for Laban even though Laban continued to change his wages. The Lord honored the hard work and commitment.

God uses crooked and broken people for His purposes. He also protects those whom He has chosen.
