Jesus prayed for us on his last night on earth. What an amazing thought! He also prayed that we'd live in unity with one another.

Jesus prayed for his disciples that they would be kept in his name by His Father in Heaven. They would be kept by the testimony of his word.

In his final prayer before his crucifixion, Jesus prayed for his Father to glorify him by lifting him up. He also stated that he gave eternal life to those who know him.

Jesus plainly told his disciples that he had overcome the world, and therefore, they would have peace in this life. The same is true for us.

Jesus's disciples will find joy after their sorrow when they learn of his resurrection and spend time with him. Joy comes in the morning for all of God's people.

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He does this as he helps us follow Jesus.

The Holy Spirit helps Christians remain faithful in the midst of persecution.

The world will hate us because it hates Jesus. We must be prepared for it.

We are to love one another like Jesus loves us. How do we do that? We follow Jesus' example and love selflessly. 

Bearing Fruit in Christ -- John 15:1-11 11.10.2024

Our goal should be to bear fruit for the kingdom of God in Christ. To do that, we must abide in Christ, the true vine. The Father will prune us to make us more fruitful.

The Holy Spirit is our helper. He reminds us of all that Jesus taught in Scripture and its truth. he also gives us the peace of Christ.

Jesus sent his Spirit to his people. The Spirit empowers us to live in a way that reflects our love for him and his love for us.

Jesus and the heavenly Father are one. They are of the same substance. We believe this because the Bible teaches it and God's works prove it.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the only way to get to the Father. We must follow Him.

Jesus calls his followers to love other people like he loves us.

Judas lived with Jesus and his disciples for years, yet he would be the one to betray Christ. The Chruch has always had true and false professors in it. We must accept that and follow Christ.

Jesus told his disciples what was expected of them -- serving Him and one another. He expects the same from us. 

Washed By Jesus's Grace -- John 13:1-11 01.10.2024

Jesus washed his disciples's feet only because he had already made them clean by his grace through faith. 

He Came to Reveal and Save -- John 12:40-44 08.05.2024

Jesus came to reveal God's character and save us from our sins. We are to trust and follow him to have eternal life. 

Finding Jesus in Sacrifice -- John 12:20-36 06.05.2024

The Greek Jews wished to have a meeting with Jesus. Jesus told Andrew and Philip that the Greeks could find him through a life of self-sacrifice and following him. They needed to devote themselves to him, be a part of his people, and follow him to his cross in self-sacrifice. The same is true for us. 

The Tension Grows -- John 12:12-19 01.05.2024

The Jews grew in their disdain for Jesus as the crowd around him grew. When he entered Jerusalem for his third and final Passover celebration, the tension between the Pharisees and Jesus hit a fever pitch. They were ready to kill him, but the crowd welcomed him as their king. 

True Devotion to Christ -- John 12:1-8 29.04.2024

Mary was genuinely devoted to the Lord. She loved him, adored him, and showed it when she anointed him with expensive perfume and wiped his feet with her hair. We should be as devoted.
