As we look at Acts 2:37-47, we are going to see four “Signs of Growing Spiritual Life,” First, A Growing Devotion, Second, A Growing Awe, Third, A Growing Generosity, and, Fourth, A Growing Joy.

As we look at Acts 2:32-47 and the birthday of the church, we are going to see “The Church’s Signs of Life," and perform a spiritual APGAR test on ourselves, looking at our 1) Spiritual Appearance, 2) Spiritual Pulse, 3) Spiritual Grimace, and 4) Spiritual Activity and Respiratory Response.

Acts 2:11-28 shows us how “The Church Is to Be a People Fueled by the Joy of God,” by unpacking three truths: First, Jesus Died to Bring Us Joy. Second, Jesus Rose to Bring Us Joy. Third, Jesus Reigns to Bring Us Joy.

As we look at Acts 2:1-21, we will see how “The Church Is to Be a People Filled with and Empowered by God’s Holy Spirit.” To help us understand this, we are going to ask three questions. First, What Is This Power? Second, How Do We Get This Power? Third, How Does This Power Change Us?

As we examine Acts 1:1-11, we will see two ways that “The Church’s Purpose Is to Continue the Work of Jesus." First, The Church Is to Extend the Presence of Jesus. Second, The Church Is to Extend the Rule of Jesus.

As we think about the meaning of Easter, we see from Jesus’s own words “How to Find Easter Life,” and in Luke 9:18-26 we see the call to do three things. First, We Need to Think Like Jesus. Second, We Need to Die Like Jesus. Third, We Need to Live Like Jesus.

In the story of Mark 14:1-11, we see a woman who pours out an extravagant gift of love that receives two different responses, that of the disciples and that of Jesus. This makes us meditate on what it means to have a heart that truly loves Jesus and understands the cross.

As we look at the story of Palm Sunday in Luke 19:28-44, we will see how “The Church Is to Live as God’s City," and we will begin the count down to Easter Sunday by counting down three things this text teaches us about what it means to be God’s people and find true peace. First, we will see three kinds of responses to Jesus. Second, we will see two kinds of cities to live in. Third, we will see th...

As we examine 1 Corinthians 12:12-28, we unpack one of scripture’s most famous pictures of the church, “The Church Is to Serve as Christ’s Body Here on Earth,” and this texts reminds us of two different ways this truth applies to us. First, We Are All United to Serve as Christ’s Body. And, second, We Are All Diversely Gifted to Serve in Christ’s Body.

As we look at Ephesians 5:21-33 we will see how “The Church Is to Love as Christ’s Bride,” and unpack two ways our commitments to church is meant to change how we live. First, Church Is a Commitment that Frees Us to Receive and Give Love. Second, Church Is a Commitment that Challenges Us to Grow into Our Fullest Beauty.

As we examine Christ’s vision for his church, we will look at one more picture of the church’s calling, “The Church is to Love as God’s New Family,” and we will see this in two realities: First, we, the Church Are Called to Live Not as Strangers but Equally as God’s People. Second, we, the Church, Are Called to Love as God’s Own Family United by Jesus.

In Ephesians 2:19-22 and 2 Timothy 3:14-4:4, we will learn how, “The Church Is to be Built on Jesus and His Word,” and unpack three truths about the scriptures. First, The Nature of the Scriptures: They Are God’s Inspired, Authoritative Word. Second, The Role of the Scriptures: To Give Us the Saving Teaching and Correction of Christ. Third, The Danger of Ignoring the Scriptures: Experiencing Separ...

Ephesians 2:19-22 gives us three truths about how “The Church Is to be a People Filled with God’s Presence.” 1st) God’s Purpose for Our Church: For God’s Presence to Dwell in Us, 2nd) God’s Process for Building Our Church: Shaping and Joining Us into His Temple, 3rd) God’s Platform for Our Church: To Stand Strong on the Foundation of Christ and His Word.

To kick off our new series, “Christ’s Vision for His Church,” in Matthew 16:13-15, Jesus shows us three keys to understanding and being the church. 1st) The Real Founder and Leader of Our Church, 2nd) The Real Way God Grows a Church, 3rd) The Real Way to Lose or Find Life in Church.

As we wrap up this series, in Philippians 3:1-15 the apostle Paul reminds us that, “Treasuring Christ is the Secret to Finding Christian Life,” and call us to do three things: 1st) Realize that Being Religious Alone Won’t Give Us Life, 2nd) See the Surpassing Worth of Truly Finding Christ, and, 3rd) Seek a Model of Mature, Life-Giving Faith.

By examining Revelation 21:1-22:5, we see what the Bible really teaches about eternity and we examine eight facts about heaven that help us be people, "Living Hungry for Heaven."

In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus reveals the path to, "Living a Fruitful Life," by showing us 1) How we recieve God's life, 2) How we respond to God's life, and 3) How we can rest in God's life.

As we examine Revelation 20:11-21:8, we see the good news of how “Jesus Came to Rescue Us from Eternal Death and Bring Us to Eternal Life," by looking at the Final Judgement and the New Heavens and New Earth.

As we examine 1 Peter 1:24-2:10, we will see that “Jesus Came to Free Us From Shame and Give Us a New Identity,” showing us three things: first, How We Deal with Shame, second, How Christ Saves Us From Shame, and, third, How Christ Builds Us a New Identity.

As we examine Mark 9:14-29, we will see that “Jesus Came to Do All the Things We Can’t,” as this story calls us to do three things in the face of our own helplessness. First, In Our Inability, Let It Drive Us to Jesus. Second, In Our Inability, See Our Biggest Problem is Unbelief in Jesus. And, third, In Our Inability, Pursue Our Only Solution: Desperate, Surrendering Trust in Jesus.

And as we look at Psalm 1, it will teach us about, “The Word of God and the Way of Joy,” by showing us, 1st), The Way to Miss a Blessed Life this Year, 2nd), The Way to Find a Blessed Life this Year, And, 3rd), Some Practical Resources for a Blessed New Year.

In Matthew 11:25-30 we see that “Jesus Came to Give Us True Rest for Our Souls,” and we will ask and answer two questions to help us find this rest: First, Why We Need True Rest. Second, How We Get True Rest.

No matter what we are waiting for this Christmas, he radical and subversive claim of Christmas is that the actual fulfillment of all our hopes and needs can be found not under the Christmas tree but in a little child in a lowly manger.

The story in Luke 17:11-19 of ten lepers shows us three ways Jesus wants to make our joy complete by Bringing Us Back to the Giver of all Gifts, God himself. First, Jesus Wants to Use Our Needs. Second, Jesus Wants to Use God’s Words. And third, Jesus Wants to Use Our Gratitude

In Romans 3:20-28, we will see how, “Jesus Came to Give Us the Gift of Righteousness,” in three points. First, How We Could Never Be Good Enough . Second, How Jesus Came to Be Good Enough for Us. And, third, How the Gift of Jesus’s Goodness Makes Us Truly Good
