On the first remotely-recorded episode of Checkpoint Chat, Sandy and Matty discuss lockdown and the games keeping them entertained, including DOOM Eternal, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps.  We're here to keep you entertained in isolation.

This week on a socially distanced Checkpoint Chat, Sandy starts his second job managing an island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, while Matty gets chased by Nemesis in Resident Evil 3 Remake's Demo. The pair also have THOUGHTS on Call of Duty: Warzone. Stay safe and elbow bump.

As Checkpoint Chat inches closer to one hundred, Sandy is dropping all over the place in Call of Duty: Warzone and finally getting to Symphony of the Night, while Matty is in love with Ori and the Will of the Wisps.  Fuck that tree.

This week in Checkpoint Chat, news games are a thing again as Sandy checks out Black Mesa and dives back into the loot grind of The Division 2, while Matty is enamoured with Undertale and the pair gush over how amazing the Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo is.

This week on Checkpoint Chat, Matty shares his disappointment with his Pokemon Shield rival, but celebrates all the friends he made along the way. In Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem, Sandy made no friends, and is pretty happy to be done with it. Always be the best rival you can be. Punch a pal.

This week on an intimate Checkpoint Chat, Matty recounts all of his deaths now that he's bested Dark Souls III, while Sandy is still loving and hating Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem in equal helpings. Censor all the swears with a meow.

This week on Checkpoint Chat, Matty is cleaning house in Pokemon Shield and reaching the end of his Dark Souls III run, while Sandy has dived back into Dead Cells and check out you new Diablo fix, Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. Also buy two Monsters. Always.

Checkpoint Chat is back after a short sabbatical, but most of the games are the same. Sandy is still chipping away at Celeste while taking time to be a tablet ninja in Kunai, while Matty is getting good at Dark Souls III with some occasional breaks for Pokemon Shield. If you're under 18, you can't have ice-cream. Sorry, that's the law.

Remember when we answered those 20 Questions (more or less)? This week Sandy and Matty answer the rest, including choosing between PvP and PvE, the best gaming best friend and more.

Backlogs are the name of the game on this week’s Checkpoint Chat. Sandy is addicted to Celeste and chipping away at more Frostpunk, while Matty is still slinking around in Luigi’s Mansion 3 after finishing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (spoilers until 25:00).

It's been a busy festive season with Sandy recounting his time with Control and Ori and the Blind Forest, while Matty force pulls a lightsaber and slices through stormtroopers during his time with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

You didn't think we'd end the year without a Game of the Year? Matty and Sandy gather to discuss the ten best games they've each played this year, which doesn't apply exclusively to games that launched in 2019. It's our podcast, we make the rules. Fight us.

On this special episode of Checkpoint Chat, Sandy and Matty play a game of 20 Questions (give or take) which helps them delve into their gaming habits and hates. 

Spooktober is in full swing so it's fitting that Sandy hit the dance floor with a grim reaper in Felix the Reaper, while sending others to the underworld in Call of Duty Mobile. Matty is used trivia for murder and played a bunch of other new mini-games in Jack Box Party Pack 6, which you definitely should get a party around for. SPOOOOOKY

This week on a roadshow episode of Checkpoint Chat, Sandy's made three new friends in Trine 4 and learnt to think like the Baba Yaga in John Wick Hex, while Matty has discovered just why Titanfall 2 is one of the best shooters you haven't played. Cats harmed us in the making of this episode.

Movement is the name of the game this week on Checkpoint Chat, as Sandy checks out the improved platforming of Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair and Matty checks in with the frantic football of PES 2020. Ain't no chance he's hitting any headers with that hair though.

In this week's extra nice episode of the nicest podcast on the internet, Matty and Sandy check in with the adorable Link's Awakening, discuss some issues with game sharing on the Switch Lite and giggle far too much because, well, we made it folks. *Marcus Fenix voice* NICE!

This week on a busy weekend for Checkpoint Chat, Sandy checks in again with Gears 5 and is learning to love it more and more, Matty is being pleasantly challenged by Celeste's Farewell DLC and the pair discuss how Apple Arcade is a peek into the future for video games. Just don't mix up your fruits.
