This week, we find that the first church is beginning to upset the religious power balance in Jerusalem. As a result, the church faces its first serious encounter with opposition. However, opposition is no match for the Gospel-focused church.

This week, we see the fruit of the church's Gospel Witness in the community. It serves as both a challenge and a warning to the church today. The Gospel will make many friend, but it will also produce many enemies.

The Day of Pentecost was stunning, to say the least. The disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, the first Christian sermon was preached, and the church grew by 3,000 believers in the matter of a few hours. In spite of the rapid growth, the church had pretty narrowly defined functions. Join us this week as we consider those functions again in our own context.

The Apostle Peter preached the first Christian sermon in Acts 2. The response was remarkable, leading to thousands of new converts. Join us this week as Pastor Brian unpacks one of the greatest sermons in the Bible!

This week, we look at the arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. This singular event has empowered the church for her mission for the last two thousand years. How do we apply the lessons of Pentecost in our church today?

We live in a culture that has dramatically drifted away from God’s standards in terms of its sexual ethic. This is complicated by the fact that the culture has blamed many of our societal ills on the prevalence of a biblical morality.
