Susannah proves she's one heck of a Gunslinger. Nick and Kevin discuss constellations. Roland describes more of his past.

Kevin and Nick continue on through The Waste Lands: Bear and Bone. Eddie encounters the massive cyborg bear, Shardik, and he climbs quickly... He also shows his carving skills.

Kevin and Nick try a new theme song. We go through the argument and the beginning of Book One: Jake. Fear in a Handful of Dust. Section I. Bear and Bone.

Kevin and Nick reach the end of "The Drawing of the Three". We meet a "new" character who has been with us all along. Roland starts to feel better and realizes he isn't the last gunslinger anymore. Kevin and Nick also discuss the Afterword and make some predictions for the next book "The Waste Lands".

Roland uses the Mortcypedia to get exactly what he needs. We learn a lot of details about incidental characters. Some pants are peed, some prescriptions are filled. But how is Eddie doing on the beach.

Kevin and Nick (and Roland) continue on into the mind of Jack Mort and travel through the streets of Manhattan. We discuss cab safety and they reach a spot that will hopefully be helpful for Roland.

Nick and Kevin talk about the Tommyknockers for a little while. Then get back into the text. Detta is lying in wait like an ambush predator until the time is right to spring on Eddie. Then we find out what a 'honeypot' is and we discover how strong she is both physically and emotionally. We also mention the D and D alignment chart at the end.

Roland goes through the third door. We meet Jack Mort and boy is he terrible. But we also get to see our favorite boy again, Jake! What's going on here? Kevin and Nick go off on tangents as usual. Time works differently here. Timeline confusion is discussed.

Nick rambles a bit about things that happened in 1987 in the SK trivia because he didn't want to spoil the end of The Drawing of the Three, which with we are nearly finished! It's Episode 50 of Chapter Brothers!!! They finally make it to the third door. Eddie does a lot of running. Is it the Lady or the wildcat? Or is it a puma? Tension mounts as Eddie screams for ODETTA! Roland tells Eddie to be...

Eddie and Odetta quickly make there way down the beach, leaving the ailing Roland behind. They share a romantic night under the stars together and finally spot the third door. The end of the book is slowly approaching. Disclaimer: Nick was recording in a dim basement and misplaced his glasses, apologies for the poor reading, thank goodness for Kevin's professionalism.

Eddie and Roland continue pushing the wheelchair through sand traps and spinning their wheels. Detta is wary of these two honky mahfahs. Kevin and Nick (two honky mahfahs themselves) attempt to go quickly but end up going long as they discuss consent and racial stereotypes in film and literature. Kevin defends his stance on wearing shoes and socks at the beach.

Eddie gets a rude awakening from Detta. Luckily Roland knows this gunslinger in the making is always slightly dangerous. While he sleeps with one eye open, he waits for Eddie to learn a painful lesson before the mongoose subdues the snake.

As Roland goes off to find water, Eddie and Odetta get to know each other better. Odetta questions if any of this is real and Eddie, the great debater, makes a strong philosophical argument. Nick has flashbacks to Philosophy 101 and his brain breaks. Thankfully, Kevin is able to hold the show together.

Kevin and Nick discuss their greatest fears in the SK trivia. Odetta comes through the door. Roland calls Eddies bluff and needs a minute a minute to process what's next. Eddie seems to be smitten by Odetta.

We meet two new characters who tell us Odetta/Detta's story. Nick and Kevin discuss the circulatory system, racist stereotypes, some more talk of dissociative identity disorder, and the question of consent.

We learn more about Odetta's past and her dentist dad Dan. Eddie and Roland have long palaver at the precipice of the second door. We see the door open and see New York City at a different date... and Detta. Kevin and Nick discuss steadicams and Mexican standoffs.

We meet a new character (characters?) Kevin and Nick pontificate aimlessly as usual.

Eddie needs to do some venting. Roland listens reluctantly. Nick tries to figure out what's going to happen next, while Kevin knows who's behind door #2. She comes on wheels.

Eddie needs some tasks while he's in withdrawal. Roland is feverish and in need of help from his new found Gunslinger. Kevin and Nick have fun shuffling back and forth.

Kevin and Nick get right into the action and skip the Stephen King trivia. Such an exciting section of the book. We discuss our lack of gun knowledge and the horrible realities of makeshift decapitation.

Eddie goes into the bathroom with Jack Andolini. Jack is in for quite the surprise. Kevin and Nick decide to go one extra section and read the last part live. Nick needed to know what happened next.

Eddie gets brought to Balazar and Henry meets his inevitable fate. Eddie gets a thorough examination. Kevin and Nick talk about music, baseball, and Nick makes some predictions about what he thinks going to happen next.

Kevin and Nick pontificate more. Balazar and his crew are introduced. The house of cards gets built. Eddie and Roland find themselves in a predicament.

Roland realizes he loves that sweet sweet soda and Eddie runs into two dangerous henchmen. Nick and Kevin try some new voices as we're introduced to Jack Andolini and Col Vincent.

Eddie finds himself in quite the predicament but he's got Roland in his corner. Kevin and Nick discuss sweepstakes legality and their favorite hot dogs.
