Jesus said unless we become like a child we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. But what does that even mean?

Jesus did not allow his mind to focus on the circumstances around him but to focus on God and because of that his faith was unshakable. Do you have a mind of faith?

Though Jesus came in human form, he never ever committed sin. He was holy, blameless and righteous. To be like Jesus, we also have to be holy.

If you study the way Jesus related with people throughout the bible or all the miracles that Jesus performed whether it was healing the sick or feeding the 5,000, it was done with a heart of love and compassion.

To become like Jesus our mind has to be renewed and transformed to be like the mind of Jesus. So what was the mind of Jesus like? He had a surrendered will..

Though Jesus is God, He humbled Himself and came to this world as a human being, and not only that he took on the nature of a servant. Jesus didn’t come to this world with the noble birth of a king to rule us and boss us around as earthly kings do. His own kingship was in form of a servant. So Jesus had the mind of a servant.

Today we are so concerned about our reputation, what people think of us and what they say about us so we’ll do everything possible to protect it. But what mindset did Jesus have about His reputation?

To be like Jesus, our minds need to be renewed to the kind of mind that Jesus had. So what kind of mind did Jesus have?

The mind is like the engine room that determines the direction you go. Who’s controlling your mind?

The same way babies learn by imitating their parents and people around them, born again children of God are to imitate God so they can become like Him.

After you become born again, you automatically have three enemies and their plan is to prevent you from achieving your goal as a child of God which is to become like Jesus Christ. So it’s important for us to know who those enemies are so that we know how to deal with them. The first enemy we identified yesterday is the ‘flesh’ so who are the other two enemies?

The goal of every born again Christian should be to become like Jesus which sounds easy enough doesn’t it? Unfortunately we have three major enemies that will do everything possible to prevent us from achieving that goal. One of these enemies is the ‘flesh’. So what really is the flesh?

All God wants us to do is to become like Jesus. Simple!

When there is no vision of what you’re aspiring for, it becomes frustrating and it’s hard to set a guide for your life. But God has not called us to become born again for no reason. The purpose of becoming a Christian is not just so that we can go to heaven after we grow old and leave this earth. There is more to our Christianity than that. So what exactly should we become?

There are times when God not only says Yes, but He throws in lots of extras that we never even asked for! What do we need to do to get this kind of answers to our prayers?

Sin is one of the major hindrances to prayer because when we are living in sin, God can’t even see us or hear us because His eyes are too holy to look at sin. So how can our prayers be answered?

A lot of prayers have no basis or no foundation and because of that, they are not answered. What should be the basis of our prayers?

Jesus said we should pray to God the father in His name. But do we understand the power we have in the name of Jesus?
