Carrying God’s presence comes at a cost. Are you willing to pay the price?

The Israelites were taught to carry the Ark of the Covenant (which represented the presence of God) everywhere they went. As a child of God, do you carry His presence?

How infectious are you? What example are you laying that other people around you would see and want to emulate?

Joshua had a heart for God and he was able to influence other people to serve God. Are you influencing others to know God?

Joshua made the sacrifice of waiting behind in God’s presence so that He could get to know Him. What sacrifice are you making to know God personally?

Joshua was one of the most effective and successful leaders that Israel ever had and this was simply because he had a heart of service.

Obey the human authorities that God has placed over you so you can learn to obey God.

What kind of team player are you? How well are you carrying out the roles and assignments that you’ve been given. Let’s learn from Joshua’s example

Do you see the glass half full or half empty? It’s all about perspective! You can choose what you see.

Welcome to February! This month we’re going to be studying about a man called Joshua. You hear people talk about the Joshua generation’ but what does that even mean? What is so special about Joshua that we have to devote time to study about him?

Isaiah‬ ‭43:18-19‬ ‭GNB‬‬ says ‘’But the LORD says, “Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already — you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there.”

Get a grip on your feelings and emotions and don’t let them get a grip of you!

Fear is a major driving force for many people. But when that fear drives you to compromise and want to succeed by all means, regardless of the cost, then it’s just wrong!

Mark‬ ‭16:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” ‭‭Let this assignment from Jesus drive you in everything you do.

Habakkuk‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ says: “Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.”

In 1 Samuel‬ ‭17:37‬ ‭NLT‬‬, David said: “The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!” This was David’s memorial. What’s yours?

Whoever wants to be great must be the servant of others.

John‬ ‭4:34 MSG‬‬ says “Jesus said, “The food that keeps me going is that I do the will of the One who sent me, finishing the work he started.

“For it is Christ’s love that fuels our passion and motivates us,’ 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭TPT‬‬ What’s your motivation?

What is that thing that drives you and gets you up everyday to do what you do? Or are you feeling discouraged and not motivated to do anything? You’re not alone.

Psalms‬ ‭20:7‬ ‭CEV‬‬ says “Some people trust the power of chariots or horses, but we trust you, Lord God.” So how do we get to put our trust in God?

The world around us has it’s way of doing things which is most often not in line with God’s word or His ways. Unfortunately we find ourselves trusting in the word’s way rather than in God’s ways.

Proverbs‬ ‭23:4-5‬ ‭ICB‬‬ gives us some great advice. It says: “Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to control yourself. Wealth can vanish in the wink of an eye. It seems to grow wings and fly away like an eagle in the sky.”

“Psalms‬ ‭146:3-4‬ ‭TPT‬ ‘We can never look to men for help; no matter who they are, they can’t save us, for even our great leaders fail and fall. They too are just mortals who will one day die. ‭‭‬

Every year, many of us start off making resolutions and plans for ourselves. But many of those plans are based on the trust that we have in certain things that we believe will help us achieve the things we’ve planned out. However, there are certain things that we can’t afford to put our trust in because they will fail us. Let’s find out what some of those things are this week.
