John 18:38-19:16 | Unwittingly, through the political wrangling, Pilate unveils Jesus' true identity as King! Jesus is secure in the ultimate authority found in God and does nothing to influence or change the course of the discourse even though he is abused, mocked, shamed, and beaten. John 18:28-18:38 | On the verge of His death, Jesus told Pilate the purpose of His birth: to bear witness to the truth. John 17:20-17:26 | Jesus concludes His prayer by praying for those who will believe ? that's every believer for all time ? that's us! And He prays that the union with Christ that every believer experiences would lead to the unity of believers in the gospel and the mission.

John 17:17-17:19 | Jesus prays that God sanctify His people in the Word and sanctify them for a purpose: to carry on Christ's mission in the world. To be a Christian is to be saved, sanctified, and sent into the world proclaiming the gospel in word and deed.

Corporately and individually we are all SENT into the world, right outside our front door and across the globe, to bring good news and God's love.

1 Corinthians 12:4-12:11 | Apart from Him we can do nothing but when we are empowered by the Spirit it is for the good of the church, the world, and it makes much of Jesus.

2 Timothy 4:1-4:5 | Being rooted in the Bible is one of the most foundational aspects of our church. We believe in the inspiration of Scripture, that is, the very words that God wanted us to know have been recorded for us today. Ultimately, the Scriptures point us to the true Word of God, Jesus Christ. He is the grand subject of the entire Bible and he is the One that we proclaim in our preaching.
