Luke 10:1-10:20 | Just as Jesus sent out the 72 to proclaim the Kingdom of God, so He sends you. We, like those first disciples, are sent ones. But thankfully, by His grace, He does not send us alone. He sends us in the power of the Holy Spirit and with the invitation to pray to our Sovereign Lord for what is needed for the mission.

Psalms 84:1-84:12 | The writer of this Psalm says that he is longing with everything he has to be with the Lord. But what do we do when we find that our own longing is starting to die down? Psalm 84 encourages us to build that fire up as we take some time to consider the vast beauty and richness of the blessings of God.

Psalms 16:1-16:11 | Do you ever wonder what life's supposed to be all about? Do you feel as though you're on the right path? That you? are living life the way it's meant to be lived? In psalm 16, David recounts how God has not only rescued him from physical death, but shown him real life; God has shown David that He makes life matter.

Psalms 90:1-90:17 | If you're looking for a little perspective on life, Psalm 90 will help you do just that. This psalm shows us that the only way to gain a proper perspective on our lives is to view them in light of who God is. Only then will our lives begin to make sense, and only then can we make an appropriate response.

Exodus 20:17-20:17 | The 10th Commandment can be referred to as the heart commandment because it says explicitly what the others say implicitly. It is concerned primarily not with what you do but with what you want to do. Covetousness is so subtle and yet so pervasive that one cannot love God and neighbour rightly and have a covetous heart at the same time.

Exodus 20:14-20:14 | The clearest contrast of Christians in culture may be that of the unusually purity that they keep. That contrast only exists, of course, if the Christian sexual ethic remains cherished, valued, and honoured. The 7th Commandment doesn't simply oppose adultery but affirms the purity of Christ transforming our lives.

Exodus 20:13-20:13 | Humankind is the pinnacle of creation, made in the image of God, and unique in dignity, value, and worth. To break the 6th Commandment not to murder is to harm someone you're supposed to love as a fellow image-bearer. To keep the command is to allow Jesus to heal our angry, murderous hearts, and draw us into reconciliation with God and to initiate it with others.

Exodus 20:12-20:12 | The fifth commandment to honor our parents applies to all children of all ages and is a reflection of the honor we give God as our father. However, the way that biblical honor is expressed will vary as we mature according to our parents' needs.

Exodus 20:8-20:11 | Biblical rest is meant to drive us to reflect on the greatness of God and His mercy towards us.

Exodus 20:7-20:7 | When we hear that we should not take the Lord's name in vain (3rd Commandment), we typically think of blasphemous language. And that's right. But it's also about so much more. Our words reflect our hearts after all.

Exodus 20:4-20:6 | While the 1st Commandment has to do with worshiping the right God, the 2nd Commandment has to do with worshiping the right God in the right way.

John 20:1-20:18 | What difference does it make that the tomb was empty and that Jesus rose? We're told in 1 Corinthians, if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins (15:17). So, it would appear that the resurrection is the very centre of the Christian faith. If Jesus rose it changes everything!
