Center Point Assembly

Sunday, February 28, 2021 - We are continuing in our study of 2 Peter. As we begin in chapter 3, verse 10, Peter refers to the "The day of the Lord" and that it will come as a thief. This raises a very good and important question - what is "the day of the Lord"? If we don't understand what that is referring to, then we will miss the point of the rest of this chapter. So today, we are spending the...

Sunday, February 21, 2021 - We are back into our study of 2 Peter and just beginning chapter 3. A title for this message would be either "Where Is His Coming?" or "Benefits of Wholesome Thinking" as Peter deals with both of these very important issues. He strongly encourages the readers of his day, and also of this day, to stimulate oneself to wholesome thinking. Wholesome thinking will keep us on...

The Church that Jesus began so many years ago is still alive and well today. He said it would be so, and He said the gates of Hell will prevail against it. But in today's world, many are not seeing the values of the Church as maybe their forefathers did. Why is that? What is the value of church and why is it so important? We discuss this question today and I pray that it creates in your spirit a d...

Sunday, January 24, 2021. Continuing in our study of 2 Peter we are talking about the very real "Threat of Apostasy". These are some of the harder truths of God's Word that are not so much fun to deal with, yet are so important to our faith. What makes mankind so unique is that we are created in the image of God and that means we have the power of choice. The choice to choose right from wrong, goo...

We are continuing after a few weeks of Holiday and New Year break in our study of 2 Peter. We are in the 2nd chapter of 2 Peter where Peter is now dealing severely with the false teachers and false prophets that are infiltrating the early church. We can only imagine, if they were making an impact then, how much more they are today. So, it's a very relevant study. You can read for yourself in this...

Sunday, January 10, 2021 - Guest Pastor Ryp Hankins gives a great message on "The Benefits of Fearing God". This is an especially timely message given the craziness of the world today. As Pastor Ryp makes perfectly clear there are consequences of not fearing God and great benefits otherwise. The fear we're speaking of is not the trembling kind that the enemy has of God, but rather the awe-inspirin...

This is the first Sunday in the year 2021 - how quickly time is slipping by. Today we are focusing on the need to maintain a thirst and hunger for the things of God more in the days we're living in than ever before. The apostle Paul tells us how we are to do this by forgetting what is behind and pressing on toward the prize of what God has in store for us heavenward. The natural law of God is that...
