James the brother of Jesus, did not believe Jesus was the Messiah, but his life was radically changed when he saw his brother resurrected. He lived the rest of his life seeking to lead others to faith in Jesus. We all get only one life, what will you do with yours?

In all of our stories, there are times of struggle in obeying the voice of God. Today we look at one who ran from God's grand invitation to enter into His story. Jonah, like each of us, had a choice to obey or not. Jonah chose to say "No!" to God because of his cultural bias. God did not give up on Jonah but gave him a second chance to join in God's story.

"It's not me, it's GOD." This sounds so simple and trite and yet it really is the truth for salvation and living salvation out. Today we take a look at how a transformed life is All GOD and how HE includes us, by HIS grace, to be a part of this miracle of new life in JESUS!

Thankfully God has given us examples in scripture to learn from, good and bad. In Abram we see both as he steps out in faith but is shaken along the way. The biggest mistake we can make is not listening and missing the call. God give us ears to hear and hearts to obey.

We make thousands of decisions every single day.  Most won't really impact our lives all that much.  But some decisions really matter.  Like the one Jesus asked his disciples to make when he asked, "How about you. . . who do you say that I am?"

After 5000 people were fed by Jesus, the religious leaders get after him for not washing his hands properly.  The Master uses the opportunity to talk about tradition and truth, religion and righteousness.  Turns out, the heart of our problem is a problem with our hearts.

Mark loves a good action story -- and today we look at 3 adventures in Jesus' life:  the murder of John, feeding 5000 hungry people and Jesus walking on water.  In each story, we are reminded that "Jesus is enough!"

In today's message we see Jesus demonstrate His authority in ways that expand the disciples hearts to trust Him more. The more that they trust Him, the more willing they are to follow Him. As we read we will find ourselves asking, "Do I trust Jesus enough to follow Him in my life?"

In these 5 short stories, Mark wants us to see that Jesus is up to something.  More than healings, miracles and amazing teaching -- Jesus came to deal with sin.  He's changing the game.  He's overthrowing religion and establishing his identity and mission -- as Savior of the world.  

Have you ever had a "whatever it takes" moment?  Jesus is confronted by 4 friends who were crazy enough to tear off a roof in order to get their paralyzed buddy to Messiah's feet.  And Jesus' response is  #unexpected  when he reveals that he has come to earth to do "whatever it takes" to bring us forgiveness and new life!
