Wrapping up a rollercoaster of a week and taking a look at the weekend ahead in this report.

Fishing Report 11-20 20.11.2025

Not a lot of action offshore (simply because there hasn't been many charters being booked) but nearshore and the back country are still producing. I will talk about that, a recipe idea for King Mackerel and a GREAT Christmas idea for that avid fisherman in your life!

Fishing Report 11-19 19.11.2025

FINALLY SOME FISHING HAPPENED!! I'll get you up to speed on all that and some more interesting things in this report.

Fishing Report 11-18 18.11.2025

If the daggum weather would cooperate there would be a whole lot more fish being caught! They're there, trust me, but mother nature is being difficult. Anywho, I'll talk to you about what you SHOULD be catching in this report and give you some ideas for where you can find some fresh local shrimp to accompany that turkey for Thanksgiving!

Fishing Report 11-17 17.11.2025

A weekend wrap up of what was biting!

Fishing Report 11-14 14.11.2025

The offshore scene is still locked down by rough weather, with not much happening past the breakers. But inshore is telling a different story — the piers and surf have been on fire with steady sea mullet and some solid drum action. Back in the creeks and marshes, the trout bite is still excellent if you know the right pockets to work. And if the fish just aren’t cooperating, inland hunting has bee...

Fishing Report 11-13 13.11.2025

Weather’s been rough on the Outer Banks, but the fish are still biting for those willing to brave it. A few dedicated anglers are finding success between the windy spells—proof there’s always something running if you get out there.

Fishing Report 11-12 12.11.2025

The weather might be keeping the fish down, but a few determined anglers are still finding success out there. Tune in as Marty dives into some fascinating tuna facts, shares what’s biting when the weather breaks, and drops a few seasoned tips from the docks. Whether you’re planning your next trip or just love a good fish tale, this one’s worth a listen.

Fishing Report 11-10 10.11.2025

It was kinda hit and miss over the weekend, depending on where you were. If you were one of those that hit, you hit BIG!! If you were one of those that missed... well, you know how bad you missed! Gonna talk all about where the hit and miss was plus give you the final surf fishing tournament update from Hatteras Island!

Capt. Marty's Other Side of Fishing Show, Episode 10 08.11.2025

Capt. Marty took his show back out on the road this week to 4457 Mill Landing Road in Wanchese, home of Wanchese Marina and The Landing Grill! A good time was had by all that were in attendance and we want to thank Capt. Mark Fann from the 'Fishin' Fannatic', Capt. Jamie Reibel from the 'Phideaux', Capt. Matt Paulson from the 'East Way', Capt. Buddy Calloway from...

Fishing Report 11-4 04.11.2025

Fishing... not too different than yesterday. I'll tell you more about what I mean in this report. I also want to thank those that came out to my recording of the Capt. Marty Show at Wanchese Marina yesterday afternoon. That show will be out this coming Saturday.

Fishing Report 11-3 03.11.2025

Offshore was a tad on the slow side this weekend but the piers, surf and sounds had some awesome bites. I'll talk more about all of that in this report.  Also don't forget I'm recording my Capt. Marty Fishing Show at Wanchese Marina today at 1pm. I would love it if you came by and said hello and chatted with us!

Fishing Report 10-31 31.10.2025

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! The fishing lately has been scary, but there were a few places where people picked away at some back country fish so I'll talk about that, give yall a weekend outlook on fishing and share a quick Halloween story about why ol' Capt. Marty doesn't get trick-or-treaters as his home in Engelhard!

Fishing Report 10-30 30.10.2025

OH MY GOSH THE FISHING WAS not great... hahaha sorry I have to make jokes right now because this weather has got all of us that love to fish down in the dumps. We will bounce back soon enough but for now there just isn't much activity. I'll talk a little about what should be being caught and a fishing forecast in this report.

Fishing Report 10-29 29.10.2025

We're back on that fishing rollercoaster again but, believe it or not, there was fish caught yesterday!!! Yeah, you read that correctly! There was a brave soul out there determined to catch some fish. Where were they? I'll tell you where and what they caught in this report and we must also send our thoughts and prayers to those in Jamaica and to our friends on Hatteras Island.

Fishing Report 10-27 27.10.2025

Fishing over the weekend was GREAT!!! All fishing fronts had great catches - it was so nice to see for a change. Gonna talk about that and the Outer Banks Beach Buggy Association surf fishing tournament that took place on Hatteras Island. Don't get too excited just yet... looks like we might have some more weather this week that could put a damper on things. I pray against it, but it's n...

Fishing Report 10-24 24.10.2025

Back on the rollercoaster today, however it is on it's way up for the offshore side of things. Boats got out yesterday and had some decent catches. I'll talk more about this and some fun Halloween activities for the kids happening this weekend too!

Fishing Report 10-23 23.10.2025

It's been a roller coaster offshore lately. One day the fleet gets out - the next day they don't! Needless to say there wasn't much going on offshore yesterday... BUT there was on all other fronts! I'll get you up to speed on it all in this report.

Fishing Report 10-22 22.10.2025

How was fishing yesterday? Take a listen and I'll let you know!

Fishing Report 10-21 21.10.2025

Not a whole lot crack-a-lackin on the offshore side of things but there was action on the piers, in the surf and in the back country. I'll get you up to speed with who, what, when and where in this report!

Fishing Report 10-20 20.10.2025

The fishing over the weekend seemed to return to normal from the weather we had the week before... for the most part! I'll talk to you more about what went on over the weekend in this report.

Fishing Report 10-17 17.10.2025

Still not quite back to normal yet after the weather we've been having but we are on the way there! I have your current fishing news and the weekend outlook in this report.

Fishing Report 10-16 16.10.2025

A lot like the last few days, there hasn't been too much to report on. So I'll tell you about what little I know of the action and get you up to speed about the deer rut that's taking place right now for all of you hunters out there!

Fishing Report 10-15 15.10.2025

I mistakenly titled yesterday's fishing report with today's date! Just realized that, my mistake. But TODAY is the 15th and, a lot like yesterday, not a super active fishing day BUT there were fish caught in a few different areas. I'll talk about that and the importance of creating a "float plan" in this report.
