The weather continues to deteriorate as Debby's outer bands have made there way to us. That has caused some of the ocean fishing to be a tad slower, but still fish being caught. Keeping an eye on the weather this week as Debby continues to push towards this direction. Fishing was pretty good nonetheless, got a good report on that and your first day update on the 51st Annual White Marlin Open out of Ocean City, MD.

Giving you a weekend recap in this report and sort of a look at what's to come this week. Also gonna talk a little about the upcoming Alice Kelly and Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament taking place next week!

In this story, Capt. Marty talks about how his entire summer savings from fishing was taken from him in an instant while making his way through Georgia on his way home to Florida.

It's August!! Not too bad of a day offshore yesterday but the sounds are honestly where it's at these days. I'm going to tell you a little bit about the 51st Annual Ocean City White Marlin Open and little more about some of the fresh shrimp coming out of the water & how you can go catch your own!

Closing out the month of July with a typical July fishing report. Pretty decent offshore and inshore, but the sound has been pretty daggum good for speckled trout and puppy drum! 

We're full steam ahead the last days of July heading into August and fishing is still holding strong both offshore and back in the sounds!

Giving you all the updates and current standings on the 21st Annual Carolina Boatbuilders Tournament on the second day of fishing.

Today is Day #2 of the 21st Annual Carolina Boatbuilders Tournament at Pirate's Cove and I have some updates regarding that as well as some fishing news from across the area!

While Capt. Marty was executing his weighmaster duties, Justin grabbed Capt. Daniel Spencer and talked about his six sailfish he caught today. 

While Marty is still weighing fish, Justin had the chance to talk with Capt. Jordan Croswait of the Carolina Girl to hear about his history with the tournament and his experience with it over the years.

Fishing hasn't changed much at all over the last few days. It's still July, but August is right around the corner. However it is the beginning of tournament season here on the Outer Banks and the rest of this week I will be out at the 21st Annual Carolina Boatbuilders Tournament as the weighmaster and VHF radio guy! Come by the pavilion at Pirate's Cove and say hello!

Not a whole lot has changed on the fishing front, still some decent catches offshore and in the sound. Today is registration day for the 21st Annual Carolina Boatbuilders Tournament out of Pirate's Cove. If you're around, come by and see me at the pavilion this evening!

Fishing is almost identical from what we saw over the weekend. I'm getting geared up for the 21st Annual Carolina Boatbuilders Tournament taking place Wednesday - Saturday this week. I will be the weighmaster and I hope you'll come see me!!

Some great fishing over the weekend is setting up the stage for a great week providing we can dodge any rain drops that may head our way.  I mentioned in the fishing report that the Carolina Boatbuilders Tournament is at Pirate's Cove beginning this Thursday and going through Sunday. It's ACTUALLY beginning Wednesday the 24th and going through Saturday the 27th, so my apologies.

Windy days can make for a slow day fishing, but as Capt. Omie Tillett would say "The fish need a day off too"! But the brown shrimp are here and ready to be eaten and I'll tell you where to get some fresh shrimp!

The piers were a little slow but offshore, nearshore and inshore had great variety of catches up and down the beach!

WAHOOOOO!!!!!! Hahaha fishing was great for that yesterday and a pretty decent all over! It is July so keep that in mind, it can be hit and miss but it was a decent day yesterday!

Fishing bounced back over the weekend! Back to the normal July fishing here on the Outer Banks!

The wind slowed some things down yesterday on the fishing front unfortunately but there's still hope for the weekend!
