When we read scripture we do it from a particular frame of mind.  At times the understanding we bring to the Word can lead us to perspectives that may not be reality.  Jeremy West tackles this idea by looking at a scripture from James chapter two..."faith without works is dead."

When we put what we have in God's hands and allow Him to work, what we have is always more than enough.  What do you have?

Jesus tells a parable about a vineyard-keeper who steps in to take responsibility for a fig tree that is not producing figs.  In fact, the fig tree was not capable of producing figs until he intervened.  Jesus has stepped in and taken responsibility for us, nourishing and caring for our growth when we were incapable of being who we were supposed to be in relationship with God.

The enemy has planted a counterfeit seed that looks like what the sower desires but will only ever produce a counterfeit harvest.  The work of The Sower is the only thing that can bring us life as we were meant to experience it in relationship with God.

The power of God is scary.  But for those who understand that we have been set free rather than just saved, there is a different life experience available.  We understand we have been set free for relationship with God and we now have the freedom to actually enjoy that relationship.
