Built as a delivery, trade and slave ship, the Whydah has had many lives. Captured by Captain Black Sam Bellamy, she chased and raided many ships along the Atlantic Coast until she met a fog bank off Chatham and was blown to bits by a nor'easter off Marconi Beach in April 1717. Originally a family residence, the renovations of the Captain Elijah Cobb House to become the Brewster Historical society was a long and arduous process but done to perfection. There were romantic encounters and ghosts that visit occasionally. The Nobscussett House 20.08.2023

A 50 room hotel with all the amenities was shipped from Scituate, Massachusetts to Dennis and reassembled, the doors and windows arrived first. The hotel also had, among the amenities a few wash-a-shore ghosts from Scituate who harassed the kitchen staff endlessly. Stay tuned...
