Praem., share a conversation about their lives as Norbertines, and a particular conversation about what it means to stay. E46: Hermitage vs. Quarantine 18.06.2020 24:13
Norbertine life has a cloistered aspect, and even a time for hermitage. But a hermitage period and a period of quarantine, like we have all been experiencing in various ways these past months, are two very different things. Listen as our podcast co-hosts reflect on their hermitage experiences, staying at home, and finding God amidst these difficult times.
E45: Made For Community 26.05.2020 20:00
During a time when we are so physically separated from one another, community is more important than ever. Even in religious life, there is a new dynamic to the current situation we all find ourselves in. But the reality for us all still remains: God made us for community.
E44: Trusting God 13.09.2019 20:30
Sometimes in life, whether it’s a new school year or tackling a large project, we just need to start. Other times there’s a need to do a little planning before diving-in. In either case, we are called to cooperate with God, but we can’t begin to do that until we act. So what is all of this really about? If we’re being honest, it boils down to trusting God. Even amidst struggle, uncertainty, and ch...
E43.5: Man On Fire 30.08.2019 46:46
Former St. Norbert College President Thomas Kunkel wrote a recently published, compelling biography on St. Norbert titled "Man on Fire." Capturing the life of this profound yet often overlooked saint was no small task. E42: Only For Today: Part 10 28.08.2019 25:20
In this final installment of the “Only for Today” series, our co-hosts grapple with a short yet challenging statement: Only for today, I will have no fears. What is that we are afraid of? Is it a fear of things going wrong, or is it a fear to enjoy what is beautiful, to believe in goodness? As strange as it may sound, the latter may actually be what we are all afraid of in some way.
E41: Only For Today: Part 9 23.08.2019 21:51
The ninth installment of our "Only For Today" series.
E40: Only For Today: Part 8 17.07.2019 26:40
If you want to make God laugh, tell Him about all of your plans. A wise adage, but making plans isn’t necessarily a bad thing! God calls us to be active participants in building the Kingdom of God here on Earth. This means using our gifts to give glory to God, to commit to something, yet remain open to see God’s invitation when plans change.
E39: Only For Today: Part 7 03.07.2019 23:39
To-do lists feel great. You determine the work. But sometimes we are asked to do things that are not on the to-do list, that we don’t even want to do. Then what? Though we may be disinterested in the work, this can be an opportunity not only to love others, but to grow in love ourselves.
E38: Only For Today: Part 6 05.06.2019 20:45
What did you do today to help somebody? A seemingly simple question, but if you were stopped and asked that question, what would your answer be? Listen as our co-hosts reflect on good deeds: our intentions, our expectations, and how they transform not only those who we encounter but ourselves as well.
E29: From Tension to Transformation 13.11.2018 20:06
We all know the feeling: a sinking feeling in the stomach, a tight neck, back, or shoulders. Our bodies are telling us tension has showed up again, uninvited, and now obviously present. Tension shows up in our lives and relationships whether we like it or not. However, when met with openness and confidence and grounded in finding God’s will, the tension we experience actually can become an opportu...

Listen to how the Norbertine community prayerfully embrac...
E27: Resisting The Right Thing 17.10.2018 19:47
When injuries or infirmities creep into our lives, physical or spiritual, we tell ourselves, "I can take care of this," or, "This will probably go away." Why do we instinctively resist seeking professional help? Like a doctor wants to make our physical ailments better, so our God wants to help us find true healing and wholeness. By letting God into our pain, God's love tr...
E26: "Yes. I Mean No. I Mean ..." 03.10.2018 20:07
When it comes to balancing work in life, it often comes down to deciding to say “Yes” or “No.” This is no easy task! Our podcast co-hosts reflect on some decision-making in their own lives, and how ordering this discerning process toward God has guided them to finding the best way to move forward. Sometimes even a “No” surprisingly opens doors that actually are saying “Yes” to God. “Let your ‘Yes’...
