On Sunday, July 27, 2025, Pastor J.S. Melvin continues our study of 1 Samuel in Chapter 6. Even though the Philistines endeavored to worship God in all of the wrong ways, through grace, God looked on their hearts and accepted their clumsy worship.

What can we do when it feels like our God is not prevailing? In I Samuel 4 the Ark of the Covenant is carried into the house of Dagon, but God was on the move in enemy territory. He is always sovereign, and this gives us so much encouragement.

Samuel Chapter 4 teaches us to be careful to read God's word and not to go past the guard rails that God has put in place for us.
