Because Jesus serves as our High Priest in the true heavenly tabernacle, he mediates a better covenant with better promises.

Jesus is the perfect and permanent High Priest who can save us completely.

Because God is creating a New Heavens and a New Earth, He calls His people to live today in the joy and justice of that coming eternal reality (cf. 2 Peter 3:11–13).

The Messiah and Servant of the Lord are revealed to be the one and same person who fulfills the year of jubilee. Jesus is the Servant-Messiah (Luke 4:16–21).

Those who accept God’s invitation of salvation must live righteously by welcoming the outcasts and exposing corrupt leaders, which is exactly what Jesus does (Matthew 21:12–17).

God promises joy and delight to the spiritually bankrupt who accept his invitation to his everlasting covenant – a new covenant that Jesus establishes with his own body and blood (Luke 22:20).

God’s servant will be highly honoured because he died for the sins of the people.

The Servant of the Lord speaks with the authority of God (49:1-13) because he listens and obeys the words of God even if it means to suffer (50:4-11). Jesus is God’s final word to us (Heb 1:1-4).

God is glorified when He saves His people and judges through his anointed, Cyrus. Jesus glorifies God when he saves us by taking the judgment we deserve (Jn 17:1-5; Eph 1:3-14).

Even though God formed Israel, they have burdened Him with sin. Yet, God will redeem them and remember their sins no more, to which they will bear witness. We are witnesses of Jesus’ work of redemption (Matt 28:18-20).

God’s offer of hope and lasting justice extends to gentile nations through God’s chosen Servant (cf. Matt 12:18-21)

Only the incomparable sovereign Lord offers true and everlasting comfort. Jesus is the Lord who comes to offer this comfort to those who put their hope in him.

Jesus rising from the dead is not only believable, it means there’s hope for all who believe.

Good Friday reminds us that Jesus offers to take our place in death, just as he did for   Barabbas, the innocent for the guilty.

Jesus isn’t the Promised Messiah the Jews expected as he begins his ministry by living in an unusual region, choosing unlikely disciples and the unexpected things he does.

Jesus (the Son) is led into the wilderness to be tested and succeeds where Israel failed.

Jesus identifies with sinful Israel by submitting to John’s baptism, taking their place to fulfill all righteousness as the faithful Son.

Jesus is the New Israel who succeeds where the old nation failed.

The magi search for the true king, and when they find him, they worship him.

Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and adopted by Joseph to save us from our sins.

The genealogy of Jesus prove that Jesus is the legitimate royal heir to the throne of David and the fulfilment of God's ancient promises to Abraham, establishing His legal right to be the Messiah.

We need to embrace, and not shy away from, the embarrassing aspects of gospel ministry to be effective (God uses the foolishness of the gospel to save the weak things) 

Matthew 1-4 tells us that the long - awaited Messiah has finally come in Jesus (who calls us to repent for the kingdom is at hand).

Lives that are an example to the non-believers that will attract them to faith .
