Paul's tearful goodbye to the Ephesian elders contains one of the most powerful exhortations to church leaders. As the Elders are charged with the task of feeding, tending and protecting the flock of God we glean good insight into the identity and function of not only church leaders, but the church itself.

Paul connects with the elders from Ephesus for a final exhortation in their ministering. He begins by reminding them of his walk among them, a walk better referred to as a race, one we would do well to imitate.

What would your city look like if the gospel had radically transformed it? How would the local government, economy, and populace be changed? As the message of Jesus spread throughout all Asia from Ephesus, the city itself had dramatically been impacted and those unbelievers who were most affected raise havoc.

In Acts 19:8-20, we see Paul preaching in the synagogue to hardened hearts, then goes instead to the school of Tyrannus. Consequently, the gospel goes forth into all of Asia. Pastor Rory Rodgers, teaches.

In Acts 17:10-34, we see the fair-mindedness of the Bereans, and the way they considered what Paul had to say, by searching the scriptures.
