Button Buddies

This week we ventured out of our comfort zone and played a Sega Genesis game, Sonic the Hedgehog. We loved it, but maybe you can't tell that we did. Join us next week as we go back to our roots and play Paperboy on the NES!

This week we played Super Mario Bros. 2 (or was it Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic?) for the NES. Join us next week for our FIRST Sega Genesis game, Sonic the Hedgehog!

This week we played The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on the Nintendo Switch — the perfect ending to a perfect year. Join us next week as we kick of Season 2 with Super Mario Bros. 2 for the NES!

We did it! We picked the Button Buddies Game of the Year and we are now forever emotionally scarred :)

This week we tackled round one of our Button Buddies Game of the Year bracket (and only forgot to mention one game which we'll talk about next week)! We're stoked to have made it a year and are grateful for all of you who have been are part of it with us! Thanks for all your encouragement and kind words along the way!

This week we played Punch Out!! on the NES and both agreed; it was a knock out. Join us next week for our Button Buddies Game of the Year Bracket episode in celebration of our first year of the podcast!

This week we played Killer Instinct for the SNES but ended up talking more about Star Fox 64 (whoopsies)! Join us next week for F-Zero on the SNES where we'll talk all about Call of Duty!

This week we tried to get the high score in Q*bert — but found out we'll never be able to play it for 87 hours straight. Join us next week for Killer Instinct on the SNES!

This week was a doozy! We had our first ever guest (John Paul) and played three games: Golf for the NES, Jack Nicklaus' Greatest 18 Holes of Major Championship Golf on the NES, and NES Open on the NES. Join us next week for Q*bert the arcade game!

This week we played the beautiful Legend of Zelda for the NES and man did we have a lot to say about it. Play it if you haven't. Next week we're playing a handful of golf games (kind of TBD) with our pal JP!

This week we talked sports like the real pros and played Tecmo Bowl for the NES! Join us next week for, something more our speed, The Legend of Zelda for the NES.

This week we played Little Nemo for the NES! Join us for Tecmo Bowl on the NES next week and then The Legend of Zelda for the NES the following week!

This week we played Metal Storm for the NES (not Metal Gear) and we both loved it (even though we had zero clue how to describe it)! Play it and see for yourself, please. Join us next week for Little Nemo on the NES!

Even though we had no idea what was happening, this week we played through Mega Man 2 for the NES (and read its novel which still gave us no clarification as to what was happening)! Join us next week as we play Metal Storm for the NES!

This week we blew through 95% of Ninja Garden for the NES and then slowed way down on the last 5%. But we both loved it! Join us next week for Mega Man 2 on the NES!

This week we played and loved Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers for the NES! Join us next week for The Legend of the River King for the Game Boy (Daniel's favorite piece of hardware).

This week we played Kirby's Adventure for the NES and my goodness its so good. Also, we recorded on Tommy's birthday! (We apologize for the sound quality on this one but it was a fun and special time together). Join us next week for Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers for the NES!

This week on Button Buddies we played Kid Icarus for the NES and both were surprised with how much we loved it! Join us next week when we play Kirby's Adventure for the NES and don't forget to NOT wish Tommy a happy birthday.

This week Tommy played Batman Returns for the NES and Daniel played Batman Returns for the SNES. Both were super duper. Join us next week for Kid Icarus for the NES as we celebrate LOVE <3

This week we played The Death and Return of Superman for the SNES and also started the novel, The Death and Life of Superman, that was advertised at the back of the game's manual. Join us next week as we take on Batman Returns for both the NES and SNES!
