BUILDING ON BEDROCK

Abram settled halfway between Bethel and Ai when travelling through Canaan.  And that's often what we do...often with dire consequences.  Let this "Reflection" be an exhortation to all us us to be where God has called us to be and nowhere else! 

Having heard God's instructions and blessings, Abram beings to obey God...or does he?  How often do we provide little "insurance policies" for ourselves, excusing the fact that theyoften violate His word?  God's grace toward Abram should encourage us all! 

Here we conclude God's initial blessing of Abram, and how it all applies to us today, both Jews and believers in Jesus Christ.  As always, I trust listening will be a blessing!

Continuing Genesis chapter 12.  Many believe promises like these are "really about the church".  Well, I'm convinced God's Word means WHAT IT SAYS.  So if we want God to bless us, we should bless His people.  Of course, nobody has to agree with me, but if you find your temper rising, you might need to repent.  But I do pray that everyone who listens is blessed.  Please lt me know your thoughts in...

We continue our Reflections on Pslam 15, with the list of things we should seek to do if we wish to "abide" or "sojourn" in God's Tabernacle.  As always, I hope it's a blessing!

We begin to Reflect on Psalm 15, examining the kind of person with whom God wants to have fellowship.

Continuing our "Reflections" on the Beatitudes, we now consider the 8th,  I could have said a LOT more about Christians through the ages, but I kept it down to the time constraints.  May it bless everyone who listens.   

We continue "Reflecting" on the Beatitudes of Matthew 5.  This time, we're up to "the peacemakers".  by putting Scripture alongside Scripture, we come to a picture of what a "peacmaker" is, and who exactly can be a"son of God."  As always, I pray that it's a blessing!  ALL the Reflections are available at reflections.libsyn.com.  

We continue Reflecting on the nine "Beatitudes", this time focusing on "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."  My prayer is that this blesses people and brings about salvation and daily victory for everyone who listens.  

Here we consider the fifth "Beatitude": "Blessed are the merciful".  We examine two kinds of mercy, and exactly how to get "blessed" in this area.  And, speaking of blessings, I hope this one (like all theothrs) blesses ever listener. 

Continuing our "Reflections" on the Beatitudes, we now focusing "those who hunger and thirst for righteousness".  What did He mean...and how can we do that?  As always, I hope it's ablessing. 

The fourth class of people who are "blessed", according to Jesus Christ, is "the meek."  Who are "the meek"?  And just how are they "blessed"?  All of my Reflections are avaialbe at reflections.libsyn.com.  As always, I hope this one is a total blessing.  

Jesus' second "beatitude" is "Blessed are those who mourn".  This Reflection explores who they are, why they might be mourning and how they are blessed.  As always, I hope both the Reflection and the Resource mentioned in it are blessings.

Teh opening statement of the "Messianic Manifesto" ( or "Sermon on the mount"), and the first of what are called "he Beatitudes", lead us to the heart of the Gospel.  As always, I pray that this "Reflection is a blessing.  All of these audio "Reflections" are available at reflections.libsync.om. 

This Reflection begins what is known as "The Sermon on the Mount", which I prefer to call "The Messianic Manifesto".  Is there any significance to the tendency of Jesus Christ to sit down to teach?  Most think it doesn't matter, but here's one thought that may surprise you.  Apologies for the technical glitches; I hope it's a blessing anyway.  All the Reflections on Matthew, Genesis, Job, Psalms a...

Job started out responding to Bildad in chapter 9, but he concludes in chapter 10 by complaining to God.  The answer to his final complaint -- this tie - is found in an unexpected, if familiar, passage.  All the Reflections are available from reflections.libsyn.com, and I trust they will all be helpful!

Once again, Job's agonized questions are answered in the Lord Jesus Christ, as revealed in the New Testament.  This neglected Book of Holy Scripture has so many lessons for our own expeeriences.  All the "Reflections" can be heard at reflections.libsyn.com.  I hope they're all blessings! 

All of Job's questions and complaints are answered in the God-breathed New Testament.  More than one example is found in this chapter.  For instnace, when Job complains that "there is no mediator", the New Testament says "Christ is our Mediator!"  We have a lot to thank and praise God for!  All the episodes are available at reflections.libsyn.com.  As always, I hope it's a blessing.
