It’s possible for a Christian to have a good reputation in the community, but have a totally different spiritual reality. We can even start to believe our own spiritual façade. But outward appearances never fool an all-knowing God. Jesus gives a simple message to believers who go along to get along with the world, "Wake up!” Bucky gives three ways to build and maintain spiritual awareness.

Christians have been told for years that we need to be more open-minded—more tolerant. That’s because the world tries to negotiate things God has already settled. So, how does tolerance work? Wedding vows often include, “Forsaking all others and keeping myself only for you.” Jesus expects the same kind of exclusive relationship with His bride, the Church. Jesus is never vague about where we are spiritually. While He affirms the things we’re doing well, He also points out where our relationship with Him is suffering.
