Police Officers, Deputy Sheriffs, Agents, and Troopers conduct briefings and roll calls across our nation every day on multiple shifts. Briefings serve an important function. They are the times when shift supervisors set priorities, discuss issues of the day, and make changes in policy. They are meant to be a free forum in which the troops can express themselves freely, including questioning policies and expressing concerns.
