Religion EN ↓ 271 episodes

God has called us to be a church that is “for these cities and for all people.” That means what God has called us to do is Bigger Than our Sunday gathering, Bigger Than Bettendorf and we want to empower the next generation to carry the torch of the Gospel Beyond our Lifetime. Bridge Cities Church is a non-denominational Christian Church that is focused on planting churches (Bridge Churches) throughout the Quad Cities in order to reach our post-Christian community.

Gospel Over Preference - Pastor Lynfield Hines 05.07.2026

What do you do when you know you’re right—or at least you think you are? In 1 Corinthians 9, Paul flips the question from “What are my rights?” to “What am I willing to lay down so someone else can know Jesus?”

Love Over Liberty - Pastor Zac Sandry 28.06.2026

We live in a culture obsessed with rights—and if we’re honest, that obsession can sneak into our faith too. In 1 Corinthians 8:1–13, Paul addresses a controversial issue (meat sacrificed to idols) and shows the church a better question than “What am I allowed to do?”: What does love require?

Living Your Assigned Life - Micah Steele 21.06.2026

What do you do when you don’t like the circumstances you’ve been given? In 1 Corinthians 7:17–40, Paul speaks directly to a common struggle: discontentment—and he roots Christian contentment in God’s sovereignty and an eternal perspective.

Freedom in Jesus - Pastor Derik Armstrong 14.06.2026

What is real freedom—and where do we actually find it? In this message from 1 Corinthians 7, we learn that freedom isn’t doing whatever we want, and it isn’t legalistic control either. True freedom is found in faithfully living under the authority of Jesus—Savior and Lord.

You Belong to Jesus - Pastor Derik Armstrong 07.06.2026

What you do with your body matters—because if you belong to Jesus, your body belongs to Jesus. In this message from 1 Corinthians 6, we walk through Paul’s corrective words to a culture that normalized sexual sin and justified desire as “freedom,” and we bring it home to the world we live in today.

Loving in Disagreement | Pastor Lynfield Hines 31.05.2026

What happens when believers disagree—and handle it like the world? In 1 Corinthians 6, Paul confronts a church torn by conflict and reminds us that the gospel doesn’t just change our eternity; it changes how we treat each other right now.

Loving Holiness - Pastor Derik Armstrong 24.05.2026

What does real love look like when the culture says love means “accept and affirm everything”? In 1 Corinthians 5, Paul confronts a church that confused love with tolerance—and his words feel heavy, but they’re aimed at rescue and restoration.

Transparency and Trust - Pastor Derik Armstrong 17.05.2026

In a world where trust feels rare, whether in media, corporations, or even the church, 1 Corinthians 4 reminds us what healthy leadership and authentic faith actually look like. Paul reframes spiritual “status” and points us toward a life of integrity, humility, and faithfulness before God.

The Cross Makes Sense of Everything - Pastor Lynfield Hines 26.04.2026

What if the greatest wisdom doesn’t look wise at all? In a world that chases control, achievement, and “having the right answers,” the message of the cross can seem backwards — even foolish. But in 1 Corinthians 1, Paul shows us that the cross is actually the clearest picture of God’s wisdom and power.

Jesus at the Center - Pastor Derik Armstrong 19.04.2026

What happens when a church starts drifting from Jesus at the center, and begins building around personalities, preferences, and factions? In this message from 1 Corinthians 1, we walk through Paul’s urgent call for unity in the church and why the gospel creates an expectation of love among believers. You’ll also hear a timely warning about celebrity Christian culture: how “following” leaders can s...

The Day Death Lost & Love Won - Pastor Derik Armstrong 05.04.2026

Death used to feel final, but Easter declares something different: the cross reveals the depth of God’s love, and the resurrection reveals the power of God’s love. In Matthew 27–28, we see ordinary people courageously identifying with Jesus, even when it was costly, and we see the empty tomb that changed history forever.

Extravagant Love - Pastor Lynfield Hines 29.03.2026

Have you ever given someone a “last-minute” gift—something that technically works, but doesn’t reflect what they’re truly worth? In Matthew 26, we see a powerful contrast: a calculated plan to take Jesus’ life—and an act of extravagant worship that holds nothing back. In this message, we wrestle with a question that exposes our hearts: What is Jesus worth to you?
