Harsh Reality Check 14.03.2019

After the best win of the year, a 3-0 complete team victory in Tampa Bay, the Minnesota Wild took it to the chin with a combined 9-2 score in Florida and hosting the Sharks. Playoff atmosphere will be in Xcel Energy Center this week, when the Wild host Dallas and Colorado, as these teams will continue to fight for the Wild Card spots. facebook.com/bravethewild.minnesota facebook.com/mnwprospects @...

Now I Hate Nashville 07.03.2019

Many a Minnesota Wild fan built up some hatred for the Calgary Flames this year, with the back and forth chippy play, that ultimately ended with Matt Dumba missing several months. Another incident fueled even more dislike for our red/orange friends from Alberta when Garnet Hathaway nearly decapitated Luke Kunin. After two great games vs Nashville, both of which ended with extremely frustrating sho...

Shoot First Mentality 28.02.2019

Paul Fenton's long-term vision is beginning to take shape, as he continued to trade away players that constantly frustrated fans, coaches and GMs alike for not simply shooting the puck at given opportunities. This time, the biggest name yet was traded, as Mikael Granlund was moved to Nashville for Kevin Fiala, who has been mentioned almost all season in trade talks involving Minnesota. The moves t...

End Of An Age 21.02.2019

It's the End of an Age for the Minnesota Wild, as Charlie Coyle joins the list of core players being traded. Coyle has been moved to Boston for young up and comer Ryan Donato and a 5th or 4th round pick, as long as the Bruins advance in the playoffs. The current Wild team has continued to flounder game in game out, making Paul Fenton's decision to move on easier and easier. Hosted by Simplecast, a...

X'ed At The X 14.02.2019

The Minnesota Wild continue to struggle at home, and this week the Wild added two more disappointing home losses to Edmonton and Philadelphia. The defensive pairings since adding Anthony Bitetto has lacked rhyme and reason, moving Brodin to the right side and rendering recently acquired Brad Hunt virtually useless. One the positive side, Luke Kunin and Joel Eriksson Ek have showed they are becomin...

Ouch! 07.02.2019

The Minnesota Wild managed to squeeze two out of six points since returning from the break, going winless in three games. To make matters worse, Mikko Koivu after an on ice collision was found to have a torn ACL and Meniscus, ending his season abruptly. facebook.com/bravethewild facebook.com/mnwprospects @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Hosted by Simpl...

The Wheels Are Turning 24.01.2019

Paul Fenton keeps making trades, this past week Nino Niederreiter was dealt to Carolina for center Victor Rask. Fenton also exchanged draft picks with Las Vegas, and acquired scoring defenseman Brad Hunt. With all said, the Wild had a very positive week, beating Columbus and also winning in Vegas and Colorado! facebook.com/bravethewild facebook.com/mnwprospects @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com...

Aggravation And A Trade 17.01.2019

After and impressive win at home vs the Winnipeg Jets, the Wild completely fell apart against Detroit and Philadelphia, despite taking early leads in both games! Luckily, Minnesota would escape total disaster, in a shootout victory vs Los Angeles before making their first NHL trade in the Fenton Era. facebook.com/bravethewild @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-73...

3-1 Road trip! 10.01.2019

The Minnesota Wild had a pretty solid road trip this past week, winning two matinee games in a row, which historically has been an impossible feat. Unfortunately the winning streak came to a screeching halt in Boston, losing 4-0 with literally everything bouncing the Bruins' way. facebook.com/bravethewild @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Hosted by Simp...

Outside Looking In 03.01.2019

The Minnesota Wild had another unsuccessful week, and remain on the outside looking in, when it comes to the playoffs. The Wild had their chances, but continue to struggle to score, along with another awful game in Chicago, incensing the fan base! facebook.com/bravethewild @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The Drought Continues 27.12.2018

The Minnesota Wild have completely stopped scoring the past four games, amassing only three goals in the past twelve periods. To be fair, yes the Wild have ran into some hot goalies, but sooner or later someone has to break through or this team is going no where fast. facebook.com/bravethewild @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Hosted by Simplecast, an A...

Trade Time Coming 20.12.2018

It's looking more and more evident that the Minnesota Wild are in a rut they can't get out of without significant changes. This would include the possibility of getting worse before we get better, in order to get some legitimate prospects via the draft the next few years. facebook.com/bravethewild @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Hosted by Simplecast,...

Bad Goalies Everywhere 13.12.2018

Before anyone complains, I'm NOT trashing Dubnyk and Staylock, even though both struggled against Edmonton. Bad/struggling goalies were on the other side in all three games, and Minnesota was able to capitalize only vs Montreal, as fun as that was. facebook.com/bravethewild @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Bad Bounces 06.12.2018

Despite the Staal, Granlund, Zucker line playing extremely well, Minnesota was 1-2 this past week. Columbus was just that much better, and some horrible bounces off of Nick Seeler doomed the Wild versus Toronto in a well played game. The stellar play of that top line was rewarded nicely in Vancouver, as they were a part of all three goals in the Wild's lone victory the past week. facebook.com/brav...

Reverse Psychology 29.11.2018

The Wild are back to their predictably weird ways, coming back from two down vs Winnipeg, only to blow a two goal lead at home vs a virtually nameless Arizona team. facecbook.com/bravethewild @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Give And Take 22.11.2018

It's not been the best five games for the Minnesota Wild. Matt Dumba's scoring has been outstanding, but on the other side he's had some huge lapses which cost the Wild deeply, particularly in Chicago. Mikko Koivu has stepped up bigtime the past few weeks, and it shows. facebook.com/bravethewild @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Hosted by Simplecast, an...

The Sniper! 12.11.2018

Mikael Granlund has been nothing short of spectacular this year, and is now on pace to set the team record for goals in a season. The chemistry of this club has definitely been one of the main reasons for such strong and consistent play of late, as the Wild hold the NHL's third best point total! facebook.com/bravethewild facebook.com/mnwplayers @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Ph...

Wild Renaissance! 05.11.2018

Zach Parise has been the Parise of old, that made us so giddy on July 4th 2012. Ryan Suter is back to being a top defenseman, and Mikael Granlund has been downright awesome, not being afraid to shoot the puck! With all said, Devan Dubnyk has been the most consistent in carrying this team night in and night out, not to mention some stellar play from his backup Alex Staylock, who's provided some gam...

Season Preview 2018-2019 06.10.2018

Hockey season is back, and we're here to preview everything Minnesota Wild and the NHL! We discuss how teams will finish, especially the local club, along with how far teams will go. We also talk extensively about specific players, and their importance for the Wild to hopefully take a step forward later on, if not this year. facebook.com/bravethewild.minnesota @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com...

Draft And Free Agency 2018 04.07.2018

Wild new GM Paul Fenton has his first draft and free agency period in the books. So far so good, albeit a bit conservative to start things out. No one should really be surprised, as Fenton clearly stated that he wanted to feel things out, and not just make trades to make trades. We focus this episode on the nine players drafted, and seven players signed the past week. facebook.com/bravethewild.min...

State Of The Wild 2018 10.06.2018

The annual Megasode is here! We put a bow on the 2017-2018 Minnesota Wild season, naming our team awards for the year. We then talk about our new General Manager Paul Fenton, who looks to make aggressive "Hockey" trades, rather than dumping away draft picks, like the previous two administrations were notorious for. We wrap up the show talking a bit about the Stanley Cup Playoffs and Fina...

Fletcher Era Is Over 24.04.2018

Chuck Fletcher is no longer the GM of the Minnesota Wild. We look at his resume with Minnesota, including a lot of aggressive trades that brought little or nothing long-term for this team. An improvement in drafting vs Doug Risebrough, but certainly a far cry from what could have been, with more of a draft focused approach. At the end, look at eight possible candidates to take over the job. facebo...

Same Old Story... 21.04.2018

The Minnesota Wild season is over in the first round of the playoffs yet again. Once again we've seen the same players disappear at the time they are needed most. A significant trade or two in the off-season is more than necessary to hopefully bring in some new blood, to strengthen the psyche of a team that has shown mental weakness for far too long. facebook.com/bravethewild facebook.com/mnwplaye...

Continued Frustration 14.04.2018

The Minnesota Wild are down 2-0 in the postseason again, and 0-8 in game two's in the Parise and Suter era. Winnipeg has matched our every move, and on occasion made us look silly. A little luck in the 2016 NHL hasn't hurt the Jets either, as Patrick Laine looks like the next star player in the Central Division for the next 10 plus years. From one Patrick to the next... facebook.com/bravethewild f...

Heading To The Airport 07.04.2018

The Minnesota Wild are in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the 6th straight season, and will play the Winnipeg Jets. We talk about the final games of the regular season, mourn Ryan Suter's injury, talk about Carson Soucy, and Louis Belpedio, and of course preview the 2018 playoffs! facebook.com,bravethewild facebook.com/mnwplayers @bravethewild paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-7...
