This evening, we look at the Book of Joshua. While Moses was like a shepherd, Joshua was more like a captain for the people of Israel. The key theme throughout the whole book of Joshua is victory, and Pastor Neal talks about some practical ways to have victory in our own lives. 

In this message, David is being pursued by his own son. Yet, David was was not afraid because of where his trust was. 

Again, the theme for this church this year is to continue in the word of Christ. And this message deals with the key verse for the theme: John 8:31. We must continue in Christ's word to be His disciples indeed, and then we shall know the truth, and the truth will make us free!

We continue in our Old Testament Survey, and study the book of Deuteronomy! There are so many wonderful truths to be taken from this last book of the Pentateuch, and as always, pictures and shadows of Jesus Christ throughout.

Not much is said in the Bible about the man Ittai, but we know enough about the man to say that he was faithful to the right king, and would not turn back, even when he was given freedom to do so, and this helped him earn incredible trust from King David himself.

The theme for Bonners Ferry Baptist Church for 2026 is to “Continue” in our walk with Christ. The passage for this message is John 6, where at the end of the chapter, almost all of Christ’s disciples left because they were offended at Christ’s words. But there were 11 that would continue even after the death and resurrection of their Master, because of Who they knew they were following.

Christ said that if a man put his hand to the plough, and looked back, he was not fit for the kingdom of God. These are strong words, but true ones. This message is on how we must continue to follow God’s will, and no looking back.

Is it ever right to run? Is it ever not a cowardly thing to do? Yes! In fact, there are many times we are commanded to flee certain sins. In this message we see the necessity to run away from the rule of Absolom, and it was no cowardly thing to do, but a sign of complete allegiance to the true king.

Can anyone impress God? Is it even possible? It seems so if you look at the faith of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15. Christ was amazed at the faith of this woman, and appalled by the hypocrisy of the Pharisees in the same chapter. It is faith that is the method of our Master.

In this morning’s message, we looked at how Joseph was persuaded that what God said was true. Tonight, we look at his persuasion, or faith, in action. He obeyed what God said, no matter how drastically it changed his plans he may have had.

Joseph was a just man, so there were some doubts in his mind when Mary was with child. But when the word of the Lord came to him, all his doubts were dispelled, because he was persuaded of the absolute fact that God’s Word was always right. Please tune in.

In this lesson, we look at the book of Numbers in the Old Testament. We see the generation of the children of Israel finding blessings and curses as they disobeyed, and we also see battles fought by the second generation and much more packed into this fourth book of the Pentateuch.

We see another example of how something representing the world can pressure someone representing the Christian into total defeat spiritually. In this message, we look at the sad story of Samson.

Who is the "prince of this world"? It is Satan and none other. He is a rebel and the father of lies. And even he will be overthrown by God, and therefore all his followers will. And God has been gracious enough to send a Comforter to reprove the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement, to help deliver the world from the clutches of this prince.

In this lesson, we look at the book of Leviticus. We see in this book, the theme is Sanctification and Separation.

All of us struggle with sin. But we must remember where our victory comes from. Christ overcame sin, and now offers us his strength to overcome the temptations that are common to man.

The life of Lot is a very sad story. He is known for his worldliness, and his very sad ending.    In this message, we will see how Lot continually pushed to get his way with the angels, and yet, did nothing to resist the evil men of his day. 

When we look at ourselves, we can think that we are pretty good people. But when we look at the righteousness of God, we quickly realize that we have fallen way short of the Glory of God. 

In this lesson, we look at the book of Exodus. We see in this book, the theme is Deliverance and Redemption. Over and over, God would provide, but the people would complain. 

Absolom was the perfect picture of a hypocrite. He would do anything to get promoted to the throne, and since he was evil, he had to cover up who he truly was.

During the feeding of the five thousand, we notice one thing that is very interesting. Christ gave thanks for the food before it multiplied. This teaches us a very good lesson. Please tune in.

Absolom was a character in the Bible that was a perfect picture of Satan. Did he do witchcraft? Maybe not, but he simply lived for self promotion, and that is the epitome of Satan. 

Psalm 19 gives us a wonderful picture of the character of God and everything he has given us and done for us. The fool has said in his heart that there is no God, and this psalm backs that up along with many others.
