A lot of Black millennials are becoming the first in our families to do things differently — emotionally, financially, mentally, even relationally. Some of us are learning boundaries when our families only taught sacrifice. Some of us are choosing therapy over silence. Some of us are unlearning survival mode while still trying to survive. So tonight I want to ask: Are you breaking generational curses in your family? What does that actually look like for you?
