Adam discusses how we as humans tend to look for peace in all the wrong places. Money, things, places, and even people aren't the best way to find peace. Seeking Christ is the only way to have true and sound peace. He points out that being comfortable does not mean we are at peace. If anything, comfort is an invitation to God to help us find true peace.

Adam discusses how Hope must be rooted in Christ rather than wishful thinking. Through Jesus's birth, we have a worthy point of confident expectation.

After reviewing all 10 commandments, Adam addresses the question, "Which One?" that was asked of Jesus when he said the commandments are the way to eternal life. The main point is that the commandments are not simply ways to act but how we are to condition our hearts toward life like Christ. It is not by acts that we enter the kingdom of God.

Adam discusses the 10th and final commandment: Thou shalt not covet. Adam makes the hard point that to covet is not simply to be jealous but rather to take control of God's creation and live in a fantasy world with another person's relationship or stuff.

Adam discusses the 9th commandment, "Thou shalt not lie." He explains that if we are apart from God and unaware and untrusting of his plans, we tend to be insecure and unsure of certain things. This leads to an identity issue, where we feel the need to be and say things that are not true.

Amid the chaos the week of the elections, Adam talks about how we need to keep our focus not on the stress of who is going to end up in office, but rather on what the plan of God is and how we can act accordingly to that plan. God has not left us and He is still actively reigning. He has a plan for what is to come.

Adam speaks on the hard topic of adultery. He talks about how our actions are our responsibility and are rooted in our relationship with God. To have lust in your heart or to commit adultery, you are dehumanizing the other person which God clearly states is a sin. This is also not only lusting after another but also includes acting in a minor that causes others to lust after you.

Adam speaks on the 6th commandment, Thou shalt not murder. He touches on the fact that murder, in this context, is not simply defined as ending someone's life. But it is our capacity to see others' lives as something valued by God. We are called to respect the Creator and His creation. Adam speaks on the Fourth Commandment, keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. In this sermon, he touches on Exodus 20: 8-11. Without allowing ourselves to rest in Christ on that seventh day in the way God created us, we are not allowing His full purpose to resonate in us. This world tells us to always be on the go when God has gifted us the amazing command to rest and to find peace.

The third commandment that Brad speaks on is that you shall not take the Lord's name in vain. This is because God is our Father and it shows that he is above all else.

Having no other gods before the Lord is not only because God is a jealous god and wants us to love Him alone, but it is also the center for having a balanced life and faith. Putting God as the center allows us to live harmoniously in every aspect of our faith.

Instead of ten rules given to Israel, we can look at the ten commandments as ten promises to guide us since we are anchored first in God's love. Exodus 20:2 (NLT)- I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.

Gratitude is more than simply saying "Thank you" when someone holds the door for you. As Christians, we are called to be grateful in every situation and circumstance. Being grateful as Christians means having the ability to see that the things happening in our lives are working for God's will and not just our own.

When looking at how the true meaning of grace and we are to receive and show grace as Christians. If we are to truly take the teachings of Jesus to heart, grace should lead to a heart of living God's will. A major factor in living God's will is a call to ministry and being a single body working together. Being called out BY Jesus and FOR Jesus TOGETHER.

When we think about grace, on the surface one tends to think about forgiveness. But when you look at how Jesus showed grace, it goes beyond just forgiving someone. The growth you personally receive when you are able to show grace as Jesus did, you learn that it grows more than just peace, it grows generosity of the heart and spirit.

While Philemon reads the letter from Paul that was delivered by Onesimus, Philemon is convicted to understand the love of Jesus by showing the same love and mercy to Onesimus. Learning that the denial of one's thoughts on justice is less important than the love and mercy we have been shown by Christ and our call to do the same to others.

In Paul's letter to Philemon from prison, we are introduced to a complex relationship between Philemon and Onesimus and the humility that must take place for both men to be in good standing with each other. Paul points out that grace is free through faith, but that obedience to love is needed when a relationship breaks down.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for right relationship with God and others. Easier said than done! As we jump into a few weeks in this letter Paul wrote to a man named Philemon, we will explore the sacrifice and self-knowledge it takes to have righteous relationships built on love.

Everything Paul writes to the Galatians is through the promise that God is good, and God loves you (and everyone you come in contact with). In his final words of this letter, Paul drives this point home, and encourages the Galatian church to sacrifice their own will for the will of God.

Paul writes letters to encourage churches love well, and he is passionate about it. How does the church love well? By paying attention to what we are growing in the garden of our soul, and helping our Christian family do the same.

The church in Galatia was preoccupied with activities that would prove of one being knowledgeable about God, but Paul points out that the actual goal is being known by God. This reciprocal relationship is the key to freedom.

We explore Jesus as the rock that crashes into the bad theology of legalism. We discuss the journey that God has us on, from self-serving childishness to innocent childlikeness, and we recognize that God is always at work in our lives, even when we don't see it.

What is faith? How do we get it? What happens after we get it? As we continue to explore Paul's letter to the churches of Galatia, we dig into faith, a term easy to say but hard to define.
