Billings Vineyard Church Sunday Sermons
Our Sunday sermon messages at Billings Vineyard Church are given in hopes that the listener will know the Bible more than they did before. In the Vineyard, we see Jesus’ teaching on the kingdom of God as the overarching and integrating theme of the Scriptures. We root our theology in these teachings on the kingdom of God, embracing an ‘inaugurated eschatology’ – where God’s beautiful future is breaking into our present experience.

Vineyard Church | He Is: The True Vine 30.06.2025 41:05
Jesus is the true vine—our only real source of life. False vines promise control and comfort but lead to emptiness. Abiding in Him means letting go of these illusions and surrendering to God’s pruning, which shapes us for true life (Hebrews 12:11–12, Isaiah 64:8). This isn’t a threat of exclusion, but an invitation to real, lasting joy (Psalm 46). What would change if Jesus was not just your help...

This sermon from Pastor Adam Greenwell explores Moses’ moment of calling in the wilderness and the revelation of God's name: Yahweh. Through Scripture—from Exodus to John and Hebrews—we see God's unchanging character, His promises fulfilled in Jesus, and His ongoing mission to gather His people. Vineyard Church | He Is: The Resurrection and the Life 03.06.2025 43:16
This week, Pastor Adam looks at John 11:1–26. These verses highlight how Jesus reveals His identity and power through tragedy. When Lazarus died, Jesus demonstrated that His timing is purposeful, even when it may seem delayed. His delay wasn’t neglect but a lesson in trust. Eternal life isn’t something we earn—it’s found in receiving Jesus. Sin separates us from God, but Jesus, the Resurrection an...

In Door of the Sheep, Pastor Adam Greenwell reflects on Jesus’ words in John 10:1–10: “I am the Gate.” This message explores who the "sheep" truly are—not everyone by default, but those who choose to walk with Jesus. Drawing on the humble role of shepherds and the nature of sheep, Greenwell illustrates our deep need for guidance, protection, and purpose. Just as a shepherd becomes the gate for his...
Vineyard Church | He Is: The Light of The World 20.05.2025 45:25

Through the lens of Scripture, we learn that Jesus is the Light of the...
Vineyard Church | He Is: The Bread of Life 12.05.2025 46:02
In John 6:14–52, Jesus declares Himself the Bread of Life—our true source of nourishment. Just as bread isn’t complete until it’s been through the fire, our lives are shaped and strengthened through God’s refining process. He sees every need, every longing, and brings all the pieces together in His perfect way. When we partake in Jesus, He becomes part of us—fueling our actions, shaping our desire...

The message begins with a reflective welcome and prayer by Father Thomas Keating, setting a sacred tone for deep spiritual challenge and encouragement. Adam unpacks the fear many feel in giving God complete control, reminding...
Vineyard Church | How Far Will He Go: Finding God Beyond the Rules 28.04.2025 40:41
This message invites us to name our fears and confront our misconceptions about God. We’re reminded that God's love is not earned—it’s freely given. From the beginning, God saved us before any rules were in place. Jesus shattered expectations by loving the broken, the sick, and the poor, not just the religious elite. We don’t have to fight for a relationship with Him—it’s already ours. From Genesis to the Resurrection, we see a story of freedom lost and restored. Adam and Eve were once unashamed before God, but sin brought fear and hiding. Jesus’ dea...

Vineyard Church | How Far Will He Go: Consumption Vs Engagement 07.04.2025 38:52
Today, Adam speaks about the difference between simply receiving God’s blessings and truly engaging with His grace. Jesus ' actions tended to offend people because to them He didn't move in the right time, right way, or right place, and it was usually toward the “wrong” people. His forgiveness wasn’t about the sin—it was about the heart of the forgiver. Gratitude isn’t automatic. It’s a choice tha...

Vineyard Church | How Far Will He Go: He is the Light that Shines Through You 17.03.2025 1:02:19
From the very beginning, God created light as a reflection of His presence, and believers are called to shine that light. We are fragile vessels, but Christ protects us, allowing His light to shine even through brokenness. Darkness exists not because God is absent but because people and systems choose it. Our mission is to be the light, standing against evil and bringing hope. Key Scripture: Luke...

He talks about how our disappointment in others leads to disappointment that they didn't meet our unexpressed expectations. The same goes with God. We expect Him to work in our lives a certain way and then are disappointed with Him when it isn't what we expected. However, John questioned Jesus and Jesus still stood up...
Vineyard Church | How Far Will He Go: Worthiness Comes from Allowing God to Seek and Save 27.01.2025 40:08
This week, Adam discusses how worthiness comes from allowing God to seek and save us. This is a backward way that no human king would choose, but this is what makes God different. God is not a king who demands proof of worthiness. He is a King who seeks the lost to reconcile them to God's glory. We grow trust in God by allowing Him to seek and save us.
Vineyard Church | How Far Will He Go: The Unseen War 20.01.2025 33:54
