BIBLE STUDY PODCAST
As we all know, life can get crazy busy with well…life. Everyone has seasons that don’t allow for heavy time commitments to a weekly Bible study at their church or in their neighborhood. That’s why we’ve created a podcast space where you can come and go, as your schedule allows, that points you toward Jesus and His Word. Each season, a combination of our hosts – Kristy Allen, Micah Harrison, Kelly Meadows, and Matt Winter – will discuss a Bible study and share with you what they have learned and how God is moving in their lives as they go through the study.

WELCOME TO THE MEN'S BIBLE STUDY PODCAST 24.02.2021 7:15
After a 2020 of a year, we all feel disoriented, displaced, and dejected. That’s exactly how the Israelites felt after their nation was destroyed, their temple ransacked, and their people exiled. Watch how—after years of waiting—God finally fulfills his promise to restore their nation, temple, and land. Learn how God is in control even amid physical opposition, political manipulation, and years of...
WEEK 10 | HEBREWS 12 & 13 03.02.2021 1:01:54
We are in the final chapters of Hebrews where the author is calling these Hebrew Christians to faith and endurance by building on the great cloud of witnesses from Hebrews 11 and reminding them of their God who was faithful to them. In chapter 12, we see the push towards endurance in daily living until the Lord ushers in his completed kingdom someday. In chapter 13, we wrap up with concluding exho...
WEEK 9 | HEBREWS 11 20.01.2021 1:13:28
In Chapter 11, we look at the famous “Hall of Faith” in all of its gritty glory. We see models of faithful yet imperfect men and women taking their next right steps of faith often in trying circumstances; all without seeing the end result and only being able to trust the promise given to them.
WEEK 8 | HEBREWS 10:1-39 07.01.2021 1:06:14

WEEK 7 | HEBREWS 9 16.12.2020 1:07:24
In chapter 9 we see that our great High Priest has offered himself as our better sacrifice which ushers us into the better Tabernacle (Heaven). We have direct access to the throne of God through Christ’s once-for-all sacrifice.
WEEK 6 | HEBREWS 7:1-8:13 02.12.2020 1:03:28
In Week 6 we look at how the Old Testament figure of Melchizedek foreshadows Christ’s fulfillment as our King of Righteousness and Peace. We see that both Melchizedek and Christ are from a different priestly order than the Levitical order and that they are both Kings. With this new order, the author of Hebrews makes the argument that a new covenant was then needed through the fulfillment of Christ...
WEEK 5 | HEBREWS 6 18.11.2020 1:03:10
In Week 5, we pick up in the middle of the warning to grow in maturity. The author urges the Hebrews to be carried forward by God to maturity, to bear fruit, and to live out their better salvation because it is Jesus who guarantees the new better oath and covenant rendering the old one obsolete. He ends the passage by reminding them that the way through trouble is not by backtracking but through a...
WEEK 4 | HEBREWS 4:14 – 5 21.10.2020 58:17
In this episode, we consider Jesus as better than Moses. Moses was Israel’s deliverer, but he still struggled with disbelief and disobedience in his humanity, to the point that he wasn’t able to enter into the rest of the promised land. But Christ is our better deliverer with his perfect sacrifice and his better rest. We can enter that rest with our obedience to Christ through our belief and our s...

WEEK 2 | HEBREWS 1-2 23.09.2020 49:47
In this episode, we see that Jesus has been appointed by God and that makes him superior to the angels. We are warned that we should not drift from the gospel even when times get rough. We must stay close to our Savior because he made the way of defeating death, being our perfect sacrifice and experiencing humanity so that he can empathize as our high priest.
WEEK 1 | HEBREWS INTRODUCTION 09.09.2020 37:35

WEEK 4 | COMING INTO FOCUS 10.03.2020 40:44
In our final study session week, we talk about how the Sabbat helps us to see God more clearly and how refocusing our attention on God keeps us from marginalizing God. In Genesis, we see that Sabbath is a statement about God’s sovereignty that has been set since the first 7 days of creation. As we seek to practice a grace-filled Sabbath it will foster worship, intimacy with our Savior & wholeness.
WEEK 2 | STOPS ALONG THE SABBATH JOURNEY 04.03.2020 37:44
Today we look at the Sabbath principle: resist the urge to continue. To experience Sabbath margin we have to stop something, to rest from something. Sabbath is about surrender, prioritizing God’s command to rest over our own agenda. And as we rest, we reap the benefits of increased intimacy with God and the resulting joy.
WEEK 3 | DOUBLE-PORTION FRIDAY 03.03.2020 40:42
In Ex. 16 we see the Israelites experience the abundance of God in the double-portion miracle which allowed them to truly rest in his provision each week. This week we unpack how seeing God’s abundance in our lives and trusting in it moves us from a place of scarcity to a place of generosity.
WEEK 1 | THE FREEDOM OF THE SABBATH 26.02.2020 41:14
In this episode, we covered Week 1 in Priscilla Shirer’s Breathe study. We start with a look at the introduction of rest at creation and how the Sabbath principle can move us from a slavery mindset to a freedom mindset.
