We have been created with a tremendous need to be in relationship. We desire to really be known for who we are: to be loved, valued and accepted. Until we discover that our deepest needs need to be met first by our Heavenly Father, we will struggle in achieving healthy relationships with others.

While emotional or spiritual injury can leave us stuck and unable to live in true freedom, God has provided a way for us to recover and be whole. The process can be painful but similar to the unfreezing of a shoulder, it leads to freedom and range of motion that may have been forgotten along the way.

All of us experience a wounded heart in our lifetimes. When the wound is not addressed and healed, a door is opened for unforgiveness to enter which then leads to a bitter heart. A heart that is stuck in bitterness is cold and unmoving.but, there is hope. This is a powerful episode on how the choice to forgive (and be forgiven) melts even the most frozen of hearts.

All it takes is an open door. We have a thought or experience that ushers in a simple thought of fear or anxiety. If not addressed swiftly, these emotions can overtake us - leaving us paralyzed.

Similar to the way an injury can produce a scar, impeding the free movement of our bodies, emotional or spiritual injury can produce unseen scar tissue that keeps us from living free. In today’s episode, learn to identify the warning signs of these injuries in order to avoid being in the pain that comes along with these frozen places.

In a Christmas season that looks very different than others have in the past, we may find ourselves exhausted, weary and struggling. The same thing could be said of those in the very first Christmas story. In the middle of their struggle, a conqueror was born making a way for us all to be more than conquerors in every battle we face.

The enemy is after our minds. If he can influence our thinking, then he can influence our behaviors and our emotions. This teaching on the helmet of salvation will address how to recognize strongholds of thoughts that prevent us from walking in victory.

We certainly live in a time of great chaos, but in the battles of this life, we can experience great peace. The peace of Christ is living undisturbed by the chaos around us and is only possible when we are fully suited up in the armor of God. God has given us the shoes of peace so we can stand in the struggle rather than collapse when the battle rages on. We can have peace in our battles today!

Our spiritual heart, also known as our soul, is the place that houses our emotions, our thought and our will. The enemy will do everything he can to get to our soul in order to influence our emotions, our thoughts and eventually get our will away from the Father’s will. God has given us a breastplate to guard our hearts in the battles of this life giving new meaning to the phrase ‘guard your heart...

The first piece of the armor that we are to put on is the Belt Of Truth. For the soldier, every piece of armor rests or hangs on his belt. Likewise, in our lives, everything we believe and act upon must align with the truth. The truth is God’s opinion on the matter; what does His Word say to us? Our enemy operates in deception…how important it is then that we walk in truth!

Each of us is engaged in a battle with an unseen enemy, Satan. His plan is to steal, kill and destroy all that God has created. The day you received Christ as your Savior, the line was drawn and you became a target for Satan to attack. God has given us His armor, in Ephesians 6, to protect, to empower and to help us stand. Prayer, is the key. It is time to suit up!

Every good story is meant to be shared and that includes our stories, too! God has written a specific plot line for each of our stories with the purpose of growing us and encouraging others. Sharing our stories leaves us vulnerable and often uncertain of what to say or how to say it.
